Stromboli Adults Only Holidays

We booked a room in June for a September 3-night stay. When we arrived at the hotel I was told there were no rooms available. I was redirected to stay at another hotel 15 minutes away. We met another couple who had the same experience. We believe they overbooked but did not tell either couple that this was the case. Very inconvenient, to say the least. The only redemption was that they offered us a free dinner and spa access after we sent a complaint to Hotels.com. They did not extend this offer to the other couple who were also sent away (probably because they hadn't booked through Hotels.com and did not send a complaint).

Staff were lovely, very welcoming. Apartment was clean, well maintained and as advertised. Breakfast was lovely. Only issue for us was the need to taxis due to a lack of public transport and the walk into town wasn’t very easy. That being said we travelled with 2 children, 8 and 10

Excellent location in the heart of Taormina. Parking is very challenging in Taormina, so we ended up paying 40 euro per day for valet parking by hotel staff. It was expensive, but very convenient.

Hotel Metropole was a perfect location for our stay in Taormina. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the wait staff were amazing. The hotel room was spacious and clean with amazing views The infinity pool was a great way to relax in between and after our day of touring. We highly recommend staying at Hotel Metropole.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view really makes the place, The staff at the desk helped with activities, breakfast was wonderful, location is great and the pool was relaxing. The staff in all areas were friendly and helpful. All that said, the hotel needs some work, Our room needs some fresh paint and the deck also needs attention. Our stay was pleasant time though,
