Great hotel with wonderful staff
We visited for 3 nights for Husband’s 40th. Lovely traditional style hotel, wonderful staff with great attention to detail. They noticed that it was his birthday and gave him a song and dessert. The spa is good, just the thing after a long walk. Centrally located but quite too. We loved it and will be back

A traditional family run hotel with a feeling of Austrian heritage. The hotel offered a summer card which was a real bonus and allowed free us of local transport and access to local attractions. Our room was lovely- spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and staff very helpful. The restaurant was very pleasant, but we felt the bar area could have been better staffed to create more atmosphere. All in all a very nice hotel in a good central location for the town.

Lovely helpful staff, all areas clean, really good relaxation areas-indoors and outdoors. Excellent food, breakfast and dinner. Unique and historic building and furniture. All local amenities at your door step. We should have chosen half-board!

The hotel is situated right in the middle of the town - great place to start your vacation! This is a family hotel, and although it is not a small hotel, you really feel it, which means that the service is great. The breakfast was perfect, and so the facilies and the room itself. I strongly reccomend to stay in this hotel - it is tottaly worth the price. I will defenitly stay here again.

A gem in the heart of Zell
Beautiful hotel in a great location central to the town. You have to wind your way through a few little streets to get to the hotel. Great on site free parking was a great bonus. The hotel is hundreds of years old and is in a beautiful traditional style in side and out. The check in was easy and the staff were lovely, all dressed in traditional costume. Room was big and well equipped. Kettle and cups, tea/coffee but no milk. There are lovely gardens to sit out in and a lovely indoor/outdoor pool. Unfortunately for us the weather was not good enough for us to give it a go. Spa is nice with sauna (nude and clothed parts). We did spend the afternoon in the spa but the pool was too cool for our liking. Breakfast was wonderful - plenty of choice with omelettes, fried eggs, bacon and sausage cooked to order as well as plenty of cereals, fruit and salads. The hotel allocate tables to guests which we thought was quaint but we felt a little out of the hub of people as we were set aside in another room with 2 or 3 other families. Think it was to do with separating out half board from b&b. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but it was buzzing for dinner but dead by 10.30. We loved the lazy daisy bar just a short stroll away, great food, atmosphere and position. Zell is beautiful but we were surprised at the number of visitors from the Middle East , appears it is a favourite with Saudi and UAE visitors looking to get away from the heat. Great to see but just surprised.

Lovely Hotel
We thourghly enjoyed our stay, easy to find and having an excellent secure car park. Staff in all areas were superb being both friendly and efficient. Breakfast offers a wide choice, the whole hotel is spacious and relaxing. We had a garden suite, such a quiet location, with own access to the building. In the heart of the town, where there is a wide choice of places to eat. We found prices comparable to the UK. We were there for 5 nights, travelled to Eagles nest, Grosse Glockner, Krimml water fall as well taking boat on the lake. Weather was not it's best, but it didn't matter, we enjoyed our stay.

Water Bed was so Bad
I booked the honeymoon suit and we got a water bed which was not comfortable at all. When told the owner to change it she said they can't change it and if I'm not happy I can check out and look for some other hotel. Since it was high season and i didn't want to risk looking for other hotels so I agreed to stay in same hotel but had to sleep on floor for 6 nights as me and my husband couldn't take the water bed which was so uncomfortable.

Excellent Location and Great Service!
This hotel is right at the heart of the city. Everything is walking distance and there is a lot of free parking for hotel guests. The people, especially at check in, were great and went above and beyond. When we stayed here during the summer, they also have us a complimentary town pass that have us access to a variety of activities. This was a huge benefit! Would highly staying here!

Nice hotel
We liked the hotel very much. The staff was really friendly. They had a nice spa area were you could relax. We also ate at the hotels own restaurant and the food was excellent.

Quaint hotel with stunning views
Beautiful rooms and hotel surrounded by stunning scenery. I wish we could have stayed longer! The room comes with a complimentary "summer visa" for a free boat ride around Zeller See, free gondola ride to the top of Schmitten, etc. We had a wonderful stay!

Absolutely amazing place. Food perfect - we only had breakfast but it was great. My only complaint was the bed was a bit soft. The staff were lovely and the spa fantastic. The Summer Card was an added bonus. We had 2 weeks in Austria and the 5 days in Zell am See were the best days!

The hotel was fine, but our room was in a separate building and we were disturbed at night from patrons in the adjoining hotel and in the morning from deliveries. Plus, no bar fridge, on a hot day. Otherwise ok.

Lovely welcoming hotel
The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming on arrival, we were soon in our room, although the room was not quite what I thought I had booked it was very well presented. At breakfast there was lots to choose from. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The only slight downside was the shower in our room, it would change from freezing cold to boiling hot and back again constantly. The hotel has an arrangement with a ski hire company near the city express lift which means that you can store your hired skis and boots there at night, it would be quite a mission to carry them back to the hotel everyday! the hotel is ideal for couples.

Charming traditional chocolate box picture hotel
Located in centre of Zell am See so easy access to everything you need. Our room overlooked quiet Street so occasionak traffic noise with open windows but effective double glazing shut that out at night. Lovely food in the restaurant and huge choice at the buffet breakfast.

Anniversary trip away, so pleased we came here! Lovely hotel, great staff (so helpful and all speak enough English to be understood, most key staff you will meet speak many languages easily), tidy room, yummy breakfast choices and food was great in the evening. The Kaprun card was brilliant. Had a massage (extra cost but worth it) and used the free pool, sauna and steam room regularly.

Great location, close to everything and convenient parking. The hotel staff was very helpful with suggestions for activities and made us comfortable speaking English. Simone at the front desk was exceptional. Reasonable price, great breakfast included, and an activity card which gave us free entry to many local attractions including the gondolas and boats. The room was fine.

Nice Cosy hotel with fantastic service
We loved the heritage feel of the hotel. The wooden ceilings, antiques on display and the beautiful garden view from our room. The Staff made us feel very welcome, were very friendly, prompt in service and tried to accommodate most requests. Breakfast was a nice spread. Front desk proactively provide us a Zell Am See / Kaprun card which provided a free entry to Kitsteinhorn and many other discounted excursions. We easily saved nearly Eur 50 with this card. Parking in the hotel open compound was free. We stayed only 2 nights and regretted not adding another night. Would definitely stay here again if we visit Zell Am See again.

The hotel location, garden and exterior decoration is amazing, but the room and the toilet is below than aspected comparing with the price. the BED: pillow and the Cover is not romantic at all.

Lovely family run hotel
A lovely family run hotel in a central location in Zell am see, 5 minutes walk to the main bus stop and all the bars and restaurants. Staff all very pleasant and the breakfast was great, a fantastic choice. We were on a B&B basis so cannot comment on dinner. The bedroom was a good size, there were three of us but there was plenty of room and the bathroom was very modern and had all necessary requirements. The spa area small but everything you could need and had the best massage ever on the last day.
