Business Hotel

Cons: It is required to do a better cleaning in the room.
Location: It is near to the Central Station and it is easy to get there.
The hotel was fine, it is more like a business hotel. The staff was fine but no to friendly. For a business trip is a good option.

The best place to stay in Amsterdam

I had been searching for a comfortable and centrally located hotel for an art history trip. The Moevenpick fitted the bill admirably. It is just one stop from Central Station on the number 26 tram - and yet this is sufficient distance for it to be in a quiet, maritime location - seemingly far removed from the hustle and bustle of Dam Square as well as the excesses of the Rembrandtplein. The staff were especially helpful and by the time my five nights were up, I was feeling quite at home there. I will definitely return.

deludente per un Moevenpick

La nostra sistemazione doveva essere con l'aggiunta di un terzo letto che non è mai arrivato in quanto è stato messo semplicemente un divano con sopra buttato un materasso e un cuscino.Abbiamo chiesto un materasso supplementare prima ci è stato dato e poi tolto. Il frigo bar che doveva essere rifornito era vuoto abbiamo chiesto e la risposta è stata che per averlo rifornito dovevamo pagare un supplemento in quanto eravamo al decimo piano e a quel piano non era previsto il frigobar pieno. Televisore rotto: abbiamo chiamato il tecnico che dopo due giorni è arrivato e ci ha sistemato il televisore la sera tardi. Le camere sono sempre state rifatte(per modo di dire) la sera dopo le 18 su nostra richiesta con risposte del personale quasi scocciato molto indisponente. Pulizia inesistente: polvere, bagno mai pulito, l'ho pulito io, letti rifatti tirando su semplicemente le lenzuola, lenzuola che peraltro ci sono state cambiate una sola volta in cinque notti, mai passata la moquette era sporca con le pedate,asciugamani cambiati una sola volta su nostra richiesta se li volevamo cambiati bisognava pagare un supplemento.

Lovely Hotel - around 10 minutes walk

Pros: Reasonable rate for a good hotel. 10 minutes walk away from main area of Amsterdam. Had an evening meal at the Hotel one night, which was excellent.
Cons: Nothing about the Hotel, can't do much about the location- up side is that the area was quiet.
Location: Hotel 10 minutes walk from the town. Use the train to get from the Airport - easy. Amsterdam is well worth the trip for a long weekend.
Hotel is very good - around 10 minutes walk from the centre Food was excellent and staff very friendly - expensive but you get what you pay for! Had a lovely room overlooking the city. Only down side, is that there is not any restaurants close by - it poured with rain one night and we couldn't face the 10 minute walk to the town - you can get the cable car or taxi - we ate at the hotel - expensive but very good quality food. If you don't mind the short walk, Amsterdam is a lovely city to visit - used the canal boat and bus tour - wasn't expensive and very informative - you could also book this through the Hotel. High light was the canal boat and learning about the history of the city and visit to Anne Frank House. Also took a short train trip to Harlem - public transport is very easy to use and most people speak English - very easy to get around. Not really a place for children - suit everyone else.

Hotel moderno ed internazionale

Pros: Veduta panoramica, buffet colazione, efficienza dei servizi

Location: Poco lontano dalla stazione centrale (7 minuti a piedi oppure fermata del tram vicinissima)
E' un albergo moderno situato in un grattacielo di venti piani a circa un chilometro dalla stazione centrale di Amsterdam. verso est. Fa parte del gruppo svizzero Moevenpick e l'impronta internazionale e l'efficienza sono facilmente riconoscibili. La camera era spaziosa, pulita e con una magnifica vista sull'Ij (il terminal delle navi da crociera è proprio sotto l'hotel) e su buona parte della città di Amsterdam. Il buffet della colazione è veramente ricco e in grado di soddisfare qualsiasi preferenza.

vicino al centro pessimo personale

7 min a piedi dal centro struttura gradevole camera grande personale assolutamente insoddisfacente cosi' come le pulizie veramente approssimative fatte fuori orario e senza rifornimenti di supellettili da bagno frigo bar vuoto cauzione alla reception astronomica insomma c'e' di meglio

Non merita le 4 stelle

L'hotel non è affatto male, bella hall, bella camera grande, con vista sul canale anche se la vista migliore è ovviamente a pagamento, nel senso che le camere assegnate nella prenotazione hanno una vista disturbata da altre costruzioni. La pulizia lascia a desiderare, l'armadio ha delle macchie in controluce, il letto non viene rifatto, ma semplicemente ricoperto dal piumino... È un hotel 4 stelle ! Il bagno al mattino viene solo spolverato , i pavimenti non vengono lavati, c'era una macchia rilasciata dalla crema che mi era caduta ed è rimasta lì per 4 gg. Niente cuffie per doccia, ne ho richiesta una alla reception e mi hanno detto mi dispiace non ne abbiamo. Per tre giorni non mi hanno lasciato i cucchiaini per il caffè, in stanza c'è il bollitore , me li hanno fatti trovare dopo lamentela alla reception. No, non sono soddisfatta...

lovely view of Amsterdam

very enjoyable trip and stay as always at movenpick, would decently recommend to other travelers to the city only down point was no swimming pool but that's just me being fussy, great location and excellent service from all staff members at the hotel.

Modern, stylish, spacious hotel.

Location: Eastern dock area is still under development. I am sure that the environment will improve. Concert hall for contemporary music next door a real asset.
A short but very enjoyable stay, from December 24th to 27th. Good to find full facilities available at this time. Amazing panoramic view from bedrooms. In winter weather the walk between hotel and station/centre was rather exposed to the elements, but only took about 10 minutes. Shuttle bus was available on the hour, which we used on one occasion. Breakfast in the restaurant expensive. Coffee and croissants in the bar very acceptable, and reasonably priced. Amsterdam is one of my very favourite cities, especially beautiful at this time of year. Marvellous to spend Christmas Day in the Rijksmuseum, and Boxing Day at an excellent piano recital at the Concertgebouw. Wonderful variety of cafes, bars and restaurants.
