Moûtiers is apparently the hottest place in the area and there was a heatwave (canicule) so we were very uncomfortable in that room. However the staff was very accommodating and sympathetic and allowed us to switch to one of the large upstairs 5th floor suites that has more than one window and so was able to get better air flow and cool down in the night. The upstairs suit (Le Tremplin) was a very comfortable room and we enjoyed the rest of our stay and slept well. The whole place is covered in dirty rug. Particularly, the walls of the stairway for the night entry is infected of black mold up to the ceiling. Our room smelled like cigarette. The carpet was covered in white stains. The sheets on the bed had permanent yellow stains. The furniture was chipped. Terrible terrible stay.
