Great location for the walking tour, Old Fort, and Forodhani Gardens. Their staff was great - making sure we could quickly grab a pizza before our walking tour. Breakfast in the morning was also good. Unfortunately, we weren't made aware of the switch on the wall to turn on the water heater, so I had a cold shower in the morning.

Good location close to the Forodhani night market. We couldn't sleep due to the noise outside from the other Air-condition, and from the people cleaning and preparing breakfast from 6am.

It was a really nice hotel overall, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were big in size and comfortable.

Great … but the Wi-Fi sucked!
Everything was good or even vert good, like the room 403 on top by the pool, EXCEPT the Wi-Fi up in the room totally sucked. The signal went in and out and when it was there, it was very weak. But for the money I paid during low season overall, except the Wi-Fi it was a good value.

The location of the property is fabulous if you want to get the historic feel of Zanzibar. The seafront is stone's throw sway on one side and the shops are stone's throw away on the other side. There is ample choice of restaurants within walking distance.

Good Place to Stay
Location was excellent in Stone Town. It was safe, friendly and clean. Service and manager were phenomenal. Not one piece of comfortable furniture, bed was adequate. Room had good air conditioner but TV was fuzzy. Breakfast was average, fruit was good.

The best last night stay in Zanzibar!
Great experience all round! Not sure why the stars aren’t higher as it was such a nice stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly and really went above and beyond for myself and partner.

A great place to stay, especially for a scuba diver. A 2 minute walk to the dive shop, preceded by a nuce complimentary breakfast! My room was cleaned spotless every day, fresh towels and sheets every day. All amenities such as AC,TV,pool,WiFi, were fully operational. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be staying here again!

If your not looking to pay for a 5-star hotel, I would highly HIGHLY recommend this hotel. The staff was super helpful and had great communication throughout the hotel. Ebrahim was the absolute best - he was able to exchange all of our USD to smaller denominations of USD or exchange directly to Tanzanian Schilling and booked us a taxi that was half the cost of everything else we were finding. The hotel is also in a great location behind the old fort / 12 minute walk from the ferry with a ton of great dining options (would recommend Masa and the beach house). Overall the place was very clean and the interior is absolutely gorgeous!

The room was really good with beautiful furniture and furnishings as well as an incredible bathroom! The swimming pool is lovely, but rather small and the staff are really friendly. It's a beautiful, really good looking building inside and out. The breakfast, however, was fairly basic but filled me up.

It is a nice clean hotel in a very good location. there are many restaurants very close to the front door and across the street is the historic old fort. The pool is small but great to cool off in and is on the rooftop with nice views

Lovely hotel in a perfect location
Amazing location to explore Stone Town. Lovely staff, only too happy to help. The deluxe rooms are a great size, and right by the pool. Pool is quite small, but perfectly good enough to cool off in the afternoon sun! Overall a really good stay here, thank you Forodhani

Location and hotel itself was good. Comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Not much variety for breakfast. Pool is more like a large hot tub for lounging rather than swimming.

Great Overnight Stay
Had a great time at this hotel. The concierge helped me by calling a guide to the hotel to negotiate a few tours (no tours are officially run out of the hotel) and advised me on a wonderful lunch spot. The rooftop pool, while small, was very relaxing after a long day. The location in Stone Town was close to everything. The breakfast buffet was very nice the next morning with the ripest mangoes I've ever eaten.

Sadly pool or terrace were not available for use due to the refurbishment which were mainly whole purpose of me choosing this hotel. So slightly let down not knowing of this detail. Otherwise location, breakfast and service were great.

One night
Had to change to one of their other hotels because the air conditioner and toilet was broken. Forodhani Park, Dhow Place and Mizangani Sea Front are all owned by the same people and nearly identical inside. We changed to Dhow Palace but the swimming pool there was under maintenance and we really wanted a hotel with a pool. Otherwise hotel is clean, well decorated and has strong AC. Forodhani Park is easier to find than Dhow palace.

Great location
Great location. Room was big and fairly comfortable although the aircon wasn't hugely effective. Staff seemed a bit preoccupied and seemed more interested in trying to sell tours and taxis than anything else. Breakfast was very basic.

Hidden Jewel.
Loves our stay. Beautiful vintage hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location in Stonetown. Plus, Enjoyed watching World Soccer in Lobby.

A lovely hotel in a prime location in Stone Town, just across from Forodhani gardens. The buffet breakfast was very good with a varied menu, from standard breakfast items to curries and chocolate gateau. Staff were helpful and the rooftop pool very refreshing in late afternoon.
