The hotel and property were lovely. Breakfast was great. The only (minor) issue that we had was that our room was changed from the one we chose. We did get an upgrade, but it would have been nice to have been contacted and asked beforehand.

Anniversary, loved it here.
Everything was amazing. Joy was a fantastic host. Her food was unbelievable. She was sweet as sugar and made our anniversary so rememberable. The decor was fantastic. The bedding was comfortable. We were in the Hideaway room and it was very nice. We enjoyed Dresden and the Inn made it magical. We will absolutely be back. The sangria was amazing! Thank you so much Joy!

The room we stayed in was the City Lights. Amazing view, and wrap around porch, with jacuzzi. However the television in the room only gets 4 or 5 channels.

It would have been helpful to see the room you were getting.The rooms are very different and you assume from what is pictured that all the rooms are similar. Very limited parking that is close and the retaining wall is leaning a lot. There are many steps on all levels it seems and not an elevator to assist for anyone with a disability. Management is friendly.

I was there only because Dave Longaberger originally lived there. The new iwner is personable and very friendly. Gave me the grand tour. The food wes delicious and lots of it. She noted that we were not drinkers and substituted for that. Very pleasant stay.

My wife and I had occasion to pass through eastern Ohio on our way to the Cincinnati /Dayton area. My wife wanted to see the Longaberger basket building so we made our first stop in Dresden, OH, and picked The Inn at Dresden. The Inn is located up a STEEP hill on the edge of Dresden, a tiny blue-collar town north of Zanesville. As it turns out, the Inn was the former home of Dave Longaberger himself. As the Brits say, the Inn has "bags of character" as it was the concept of Dave who created an 8-level house that sprawls down that steep hill. The current proprietor, Joy, a chatty Filipina, maintains the unique property as a business and as a legacy. She has a little hairy dog, Chewie, well-behaved and friendly, who may bring his sock-fox to you at breakfast for some tug-of-war. (If you're not so inclined, he'll just walk off.) Now to the practicalities. "Bags of character" is not always the most convenient: 1.The rough street up to the Inn is very steep. Don't even think about it in slick weather unless you have 4-wheel drive and some nerve. In nice weather it's a climb but my Malibu took it fine. There are several other residences on that hill so it is a real street. That said, the view is phenomenal. Got some excellent pix at sunrise. 2. Since the Inn is built down the slope, with rooms and decks as it goes, it is full of stairs with no elevator. We stayed on the bottom level which has ground access from a lower parking area but if you want indoor access to the front des

Great get-away weekend
We had a wonderful get-away weekend at the Inn at Dresden. The innkeeper, Joy, was so nice – and a fantastic cook. We enjoyed two breakfasts (loved the French toast) and a 4-course dinner (the pasta and greens salad was our favorite). We stayed in the City Lights room. It was spacious, had a huge private deck, and beautiful panoramic views of the valley below all day and all night. While the décor is a bit dated, the room and entire facility was very clean. Unfortunately, the town of Dresden no longer has much to offer, but we were really there just to relax and unwind. The Inn definitely provided that for us.

View from dining room over the valley was very nice, food was delicious - both dinner and breakfast, bed comfortable and room was large & warm. Shower had low pressure, fixtures need work. We stepped on toe nail clippings from previous guests on carpet in our room so more attention to cleaning needs to be paid.

Very interesting Inn full of Joy!
A very unique Inn with an extraordinary hostess! The only thing more impressive than the Longaberger home is Joy's passion and knowledge on the history of it. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. We loved our stay. We cannot wait to go back. Even though we only spent one night we were treated as family. An exceptional experience!

Like local history and the unique-stay here!
This Inn is one of a kind. The history of the building is entirely unique. The Innkeeper was lovely and very friendly and did her best to make us feel welcome. Dresden itself is very small and in need of development, but the area is lovely and the Inn has spectacular views. The rooms are totally unique and many are very large and luxurious. Especially if you love the out of the ordinary and are interested in history, give this Inn a try! The breakfast was wonderful!!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 11 year anniversary. The room was beautiful, and very clean. The bed was huge, and extremely comfortable!! The owner was very hospitable, and had our wine and dessert ready for us after we came back from dinner, and the breakfast was wonderful. Very quiet and quaint, but close to a lot!

Wonderful getaway!
Innkeepers Joy and Allen provided a beautiful setting, personal touches and wonderful meals (we opted for dinner Saturday night) and are so happy we did! The views from the Inn are outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet super relaxing weekend. Our only regret was not being able to enjoy the gorgeous decks due to weather.

A sprawling house with loads of character.
I believe that the Inn in person was even more amazing than suggested by the photos on the website. We only stayed for 1 night, but I could happily stay there for a week - any time of year. The room we were in (Zane Grey) was well worth the money. The bed was extremely comfortable and the fireplace was awesome. We saw deer walking across the road during breakfast and loads of little birds at the bird feeders. Our hosts were extremely personable and we both enjoyed their company. I will recommend The Inn at Dresden to my friends and I will definitely return to stay for a longer time.

What a unique home Joy and Allen have at the top of that hill! The room was cozy, the food was delicious, the hosts were gracious, and the view was gorgeous. We were fortunate to have such beautiful fall colors as late as November. The Inn at Dresden provides a wonderful retreat for a couple's weekend get-away.

Anniversary Trip
My husband and I came here to celebrate our first anniversary. We live in Columbus and wanted to "get away" without traveling too far. The Inn at Dresden was a nice relaxing get away! The cheese and wine upon our arrival was a nice touch. We stayed in the City Lights room - the bed was comfortable and the view overlooking the town was gorgeous! The breakfast was delicious and Joy and Allen both went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing getaway I would recommend staying here!

This was the nicest and most comfortable room we've had. The view is gorgeous. The owners are such nice people and lovely to talk with. I wish I had known that there is a four course dinner involved because I had already booked a show in Zanesville. I would have made a different time for the show to attend the dinner had I known. This is worth the extra drive to relax and enjoy.
