Nice get away.
Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is in great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Great pool over looking the lake.would stay again.

Hotel was right on Lake Balaton but the only access to the water was a pier and walking to the public (pay) beach. Some of the staff spoke English but ordering during breakfast was a little difficult if you do not speak Hungarian. Downtown restaurants and nightlife was walking distance from the hotel. They had a nice idea of conserving energy but we ran out of hot water with one short shower and the bedroom shades continued to close even if you were in your room but hadn't moved for awhile. Kind of funny but annoying when you needed to jump around for the shades to sense your "presence."

Right on Lake Balaton in a busy nightlife area
Difficult to find late at night because sign was not lit nor was the lobby. Friendly employees that spoke enough English to be very helpful. Typical European breakfast offerings which met our needs. Liked the walk in showers a lot!

Great location, not so great hotel.
We stayed here on Lake Balaton to do some research for the Balaton name. Figured what better hotel to stay at. The good: OK size room, great view of lake from balcony. The bad: Pubic hairs all over bathroom floor, hairs on bed sheets and pillows (not ours), room needed a really good cleaning... The location is great, close enough to town to get supplies. Not what I would call 3 stars...but maybe it is in a small town in Hungary.

Netter Urlaub für wenig Geld!
Lage top-direkt am See, Personal leider nicht sehr motiviert-deren Mentalität wie es scheint, Frühstück "ausbaufähig", aber viel besser als vor 2 Jahren!
