"Staff were amazing - so courteous and thoughtful! Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and modern, the view was very nice and the location could not be beat!! First time I used a public bath in Japan. It was such an amazing spa like experience with the best view and open air hot spring on the top floor. Cherry blossom festival adjacent to hotel was so special and convenient. I hope to come back again, "

"I had a great overall experience staying at APA Hotel Ryogoku. The staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and very accommodating to English-speaking guests, which made the stay much smoother and more comfortable. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location. It’s just a short walk to the train station, making it incredibly convenient to get around Tokyo and explore different areas without hassle. The only downside I experienced was related to the room temperature control. During the spring season, the system is set so that you can only adjust the heat, not the air conditioning. This made the room feel warmer than I would have preferred, and at times it was a bit uncomfortable for sleeping. If you’re staying during this time of year, I’d recommend removing the key card from the slot when you leave to turn off the air system completely. This helps bring the room temperature down and makes it more comfortable when you return. Overall, I’d still recommend this hotel for its excellent service and convenient location—just keep the temperature limitation in mind depending on the season."

"First place we stayed in Tokyo so as a Westerner it was a bit of a shock with how small the room was. 4hangers on the wall. No counter space in the bathroom. A small desk. You had to step up to the bathroom and we couldn’t figure out the lighting. It was either all on or all off? BUT, the location was wonderful for an authentic feel for local Tokyo living. The room was super quiet, the beds were so comfy and the included spa is my dream amenity. I want to go back just for that. Very friendly staff although the language barrier was hard to get information but they tried so sweetly! If we come back to Tokyo we WILL stay here."

"Loved this hotel, in a great location staff was friendly and helpful for both checking in and checking out but not needed other than that. Enemies were fine. I love the bathroom size and the room set up. The rooms are on the smaller end however, if you get joining rooms, it feels much bigger. Beds were comfortable, a perfect place to just sleep. "
