"Nice hotel close to everything we wanted in town."
We had gone winter camping first, followed by 2 days in the hotel. We booked a couples massage for our first night and were really looking forward to it after 2 nights of sleeping in tents at temperatures way below freezing. Something went wrong and our massage booking got lost, the hotel comped us for massages the next day along with a bottle of champagne. Everyone was incredibly nice and went the extra mile to make our stay wonderful. The massages were fantastic, the sauna and steam room just what we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff gave us great suggestions about local hikes and what was best given the weather conditions.

"one night stunt to Yosemite"
Good: location, rooms are awesome, fridge in room, indoor pool for the winter, ice rink on site, quick check-in, Dog friendly, beautiful lobby decorated for Christmas. Bad: Expensive and under average food - think 3x the real price, restaurant attention was poor. Building has leaks, and they were addressing them with buckets. Bottom line: did it once, may stay again for the right price, absolutely not paying such high prices for food.

The hotel is in a beautiful area. Seems like all rooms have a balcony and view of the lake which is nice. The only thing that was unfortunate was that half the outlets in our room didn't work. I was there for a wedding, so it just made it a bit difficult having a few people getting ready at the same time. Other than that, the stay was great.

"Amazing Location!!!!"
Great Location, Right by the main lodge. Takes longer to walk to your parked car than it does to find your hotel room.. The room we were given was by the stairway which wasn't great for the noise, but super accessible.

"Nice hotel for low cost"
I am so pleased with the experience at this hotel. We had stayed at a different hotel prior to checking into the Yosemite Southgate Hotel, and by comparison this hotel blew the other out of the water. I enjoyed the nice bath products, the in room mini kitchen was a great addition, and there was plenty of space and time to make it to breakfast every day. The staff was friendly and overall I had a great stay.

"Not really a Resort"
Chalet rooms with no lake view at hotel; for lake bass photos consider a suite. Great dinning at Ducey's Restaurant with 10% discount Chalets rooms old but charming with complete equipment for coocking (kitchen, refrigerator, dishes, forks, etc) Very close to Yosemite south entrance
