"It was nice."
The hotel was in ok condition in a perfect location. The park was close and the river view from hotel was beautiful. The room is clean with pretty much everything you need; fridge, two electric burners(only one was working), microwave and coffee maker. We made breakfast every morning because there was no free breakfast included. Not much around, but the pizza place next to our room was nice. NO FREE WIFI, which sucked. One day is 9.99 and three day is 29.99.. that's how they make money.

Is Yosemite National Park is a destination for children? There’s no question. With fresh air, wide open spaces, organised kids’ activities and lakes and rivers to swim in, it’s a children’s paradise. Even better, there is a good range of child-friendly hotels in Yosemite, helping parents out with little touches such as cots, extra beds, laundry service, childcare and even kitchen facilities.

Choosing a Child-Friendly Hotel in Yosemite National Park

Child-friendly hotels in Yosemite range from simple two-star inns to well-equipped four-star resorts complete with pools, spas and on-site restaurants. Most Yosemite National Park accommodation can be found in towns to the west, the south and the east of the park, but you’ll have no trouble getting around, even if you don’t have a car – just pick up the local YARTS bus services that run into the park. Most lines terminate at Yosemite Village.

Activities for Children in Yosemite National Park

Kids will love exploring Yosemite. The park has over 800 miles of hiking trails, including shorter hikes that small children can enjoy and mid-length parks that allow older kids to get off the beaten track and explore. Head for the visitor centre in Yosemite Village to pick up more information. Zip lining, rock climbing, horse riding and rafting are all available within the park, so you’re guaranteed activity-packed days that leave the kids worn out and ready for bed!

    Organised Activities and Educational Programmes

There are junior ranger programmes in the park for over-sevens, and small kids can take part in the Little Cub programme. If you’re visiting the park in winter, head to the small Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area for gentle slopes and good tuition. There are also other winter sports available in the area such as ice-skating and snow tubing, which kids are guaranteed to love. Finally, don’t miss a visit to the Mariposa Grove of ancient giant sequoias. Even grown-ups will feel dwarfed by these magnificent trees.

Yosemite National Park is a child-friendly destination through and through – and luckily the region has hotels to match. Use Expedia’s search filters to find your ideal child-friendly accommodation in Yosemite.
