Had a 3 day break with my mum, it was my first time at the hotel I go to York at least once a year, abosulely loved the hotel, it is a stunning building, rooms are beautiful, we were meeting other family who were staying at another hotel, so didn't get the chance to use the facilities, really looking forward to going back, hopefully in December!

Nice, modern hotel in great location. Booked a superior room which was very comfortable with all modern amenities but a little on the small size.
No on-site parking but a pay-and-display car park nearby costs £9.00 for 24hrs which isn't too bad for a city centre location.
Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel, centrally situated, it has a car park, big bonus. Rooms light spacious, very clean and comfortable. Staff efficient and friendly, the food was good. A very good experience, I will stay here again.
Charming Victorian hotel with refurbished room and upgrade which is always nice. Good standards throughout but you can see where other refurbishment is needed. Close to city centre and excellent for trains. I would stay again. Good value if booked in advance. Very useful car park
A life saver. I accidentally booked 1 night at another hotel, when we actually needed 2 nights. The Grange was available for 1 night, a Sunday night! Thank goodness or we could have been homeless! A lovely find.
Comfortable, quiet and beautiful architecture. Staff were very helpful. Enjoyed the warmth of the gas fire in the large drawing room of the hotel when we came in from a wet rainy day. Lovely leather couches to sit on.
Hotel was clean, and nicely decorated. Rooms were spacious, but very warm. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking was manic. Breakfast was nice, staff helpful although scrambled eggs were interesting. Was like a upgraded premier inn, location was great, will defiantly return.
Once enclosed by ancient fortified walls, York offers a wealth of cultural and historical sites, including York Castle, the National Railway Museum, and York Minster, a Gothic cathedral in the city center. The Shambles is a pedestrian-friendly street dating back to mediaeval ages, where it housed butcher shops. Today the scene is less gruesome, with quaint boutiques and tea rooms lining the road.
