The location of the property was ideal for travel. It’s immediately next to the train station and within minutes of walking to the attractions in the city. I was given a room with an amazing room of the Minster. The Garden Room is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or tea. However, the service for food there was less than desirable. The staff does not attend the tables or take orders. It was a constant walk up to the bar and order, wait, pay and then walk back to table. I didn’t mind that process but it was unclear upon sitting down what the expectation is and for the prices, it seemed it should be more than self service. I also prepaid for drink vouchers on the website at at discounted price. When I got to the hotel and asked for them, no one seemed to know what I was talking about. The vouchers appeared on my bill but then no drinks were applied to them. It was too much of a process to argue the double paying so I just let it go.
