We rarely stay in a hotel room, so when we do, we expect to be able to enjoy ALL of the amenities we chose it for. This hotel was chosen for it's affordability and the indoor swimming pool - and the pool was closed for maintenance TWO of the three morning and nights we were there. This was HIGHLY disappointing for our seven kids AND us!! - it's really the MAIN reason we opted to stay in a hotel instead of with family this time. So, while the staff was kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and neat, the condition of the swimming pool tainted our entire stay. We won't likely choose to stay there again for this reason.

We are very sorry our pool was unavailable two mornings during your stay. We take the issues of maintenance and safety very seriously and we choose to err on the side of caution when it comes to our guests. The care of chemicals in hotel pools is a difficult task and we are extremely diligent in our testing and care of the area. We apologize again as we are sure it was disappointing to your children. We hope you enjoyed your time in York and you will give us another chance if you are back in town.
