Sorry to say but not clean at all
I’m so sorry to say but the cleanliness and condition of the property was not what we expected at all. We had reviewed the property on various sites and all seemed good. However we realise now that these reviews were old and were in fact when the property was owned by someone else. The furnishings are all dated and not good condition or quality. For instance dressing table chair is about to break. The photos of the property aren’t of the adhurst 3 bed we stayed in. We had nobroll top bathroom, in fact the bathroom downstairs was not even big enough for our 8 yr old daughter to lie in. I did actually contact the owners half an hour after checking in due to various issues including: pubic hairs in shower and bathroom floor. Bed sheets had hair on in our room. Tea towels stained. Something had leaked in the fridge and settled in the bottom. There were many more cleanliness issues that I didn’t mention as I really did feel bad for calling them. They did come and clean whilst we were out for dinner but on the specific things I mentioned. Not for instance the fridge instead that is dirty on the door and inside but only the issue of the stain in the bottom I had mentioned. I’m so sorry but we would definitely not stay there again. The area was good and not too far out of the centre, with lovely street of cafes etc around th corner and a park across the road. I do hope the new owners do some updating on the decor and furnishings and also have a deep clean.

Spacious, well equipped, clean, and obviously recently re-furbished/decorated. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom have an odd arrangement, opening out onto the entrance lobby, but acceptable.

Don't be late
We got to the guest house a bit late (about 6pm) and were made to feel very awkward for doing so, we were told it was our fault for not calling. Other than that the Guest house was lovely and breakfast was suitable.
