Great week in Welburn
We spent a week at the property and I’d highly recommend it. It’s situated in a lovely village with a good pub and deli. There are really nice local walks on the doorstep, York and the coastal resorts are easily accessible via car. The cottage itself is clean, very comfortable, with good facilities. In particular, the beds were very comfortable, a bonus after a busy day! The host provided lots of local information including maps of local walks and fliers for attractions, very useful when deciding what to do each day. Overall, we had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to book again - highly recommended

A cosy but very comfortable stay. Lovely village with fantastic deli/cafe close by and a very nice pub too. Nice walks around the village including Castle Howard. Good location to stay to visit North Yorkshire. We had a lovely week here

What a beautiful place
The cottage really is a little gem. Has everything we needed for our first get away as a family. Some stunning walks around the area, which we partook in, but wish we were here for longer to go on more. The cafe, The Dogh and the pub, The Crown & Cushion, were tasty places. If you stay here you have to go to them both. As we are weak southern folk we had to have the radiators on higher than most but after a little while the house warmed to our liking. The only thing to mention is the parking. We had the neighbours opposite the property shout over to us about not being parked on the path. They said as we had parked on the road, as the law states, they couldn’t get out of their drive. To avoid an argument we parked out back in the parking space. It appeared the neighbours were finding an issue for issue sake with the parking. However this didn’t ruin the get away and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

A lovely little cottage in a lovely little village. Kitchen well equipped to cook family meals, very comfy beds and a wonderful log fire. Would certainly both recommend and stay here again. The Deli (Dogh) was amazing too....a good excuse to take the pooch on another walk!!

Lovely cottage
We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage with easy access to York and Castle Howard. We dud not know garden was nit connected to the back of the house which would have been good to know - cat had to be shown where to go but soon learnt.
