Nunuya Island Resort was a great find for us on our trip to the Yasawa's. The staff were terrific and made us feel like we were a part of their family. Food was great and it was nice to have options to choose from each day rather than a set menu. Highly recommend taking the Sawa i lau cave trip if you are up for an adventure. The only minor issue was the fact that the AC in our villa struggled to keep up with the heat during the afternoons. Overall a truly amazing stay. Thank you.

If you’re looking for a small quiet resort this would be a great option. Not much going on or very many people. The activities were very nice and the staff was great. I was disappointed in the lack of a/c in our room and the lizards that joined us in bed. We also wish there was more flexibility or eating options. Breakfast is not served till 8, lunch at noon and supper at 5, with us being from a much different time zone it was a little inconvenient especially the breakfast.

The property is situated in a beautiful location, near, but not on a lovely beach. The property has a sea wall fronting it with steps into the ocean. The property is lovely and most of the staff are very pleasant, with a few notable exceptions. The bures are spacious, nice bathrooms, decent beds. Quite a few mosquitos, be sure to bring spray. The biggest negative is that there is nowhere to go really from the property. It feels very isolated. The other thing is that they have strange unwritten rules, for example, if you bring your own alcohol to the property they charge you a corkage fee to drink it on the property. . . . Overall it is a nice place, probably better for people who just want to lounge around and be taken on an organized excursion than for people who wish to explore the area.

We stayed whilst the Nanuya family were grieving their owner/kaumatua/chief's passing and we were embraced as family regardless. The staff's gathering and singing was so emotive and made us feel cherished. An unforgettable stay. Very grateful.

The manager and his wife were incredibly rude and dismissive to the lovely Fijian staff. Either been doing it too long or simply never learnt management or leadership skills ( it’s really hard, just treat people as you would like to be treated) there is no doubt the kind and friendly Fijian staff would respond in kind. Not just our observation and opinion.

This is a fabulous resort. The staff are amazing. The food excellent. The beach clean, the sand soft, the water clear and warm. You need only swim thirty meters off shore in the blue lagoon to float and snorkel over living coral reefs. The resort has snorkel gear for use and single and double kayaks to use. There are no TV sets. There is wifi available but take a few good books to read instead. This is as close to being off the grid as you can get while still being spoiled. The resort is very self sustained with solar power, gardens and water that is treated so you can drink it. The breakfasts included are complete with ample fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, home baked breads, scones, and treats from the kitchen and preserves. The lunch menu and dinner menu change, lots of fish but also options for those who don’t like sea food or fish. Each night at dinner the staff play guitar and sing beautiful Fijian songs as well as some modern tunes. During happy hour before dinner specialty drinks are half price and you will often see some of the younger people walk the forty minutes thru the jungle from the other side of the island (a small hostel type place called Sunrise is there) to get some drinks and enjoy the comforts of the resort. The walk to the sunrise over the top of the island and then back through the jungle to the beach is under two hours and feels like an adventure - recommended. Take the boat and go there. Leave the kids at home. You deserve this.

Stayed in the luxury villa over Xmas. Very relaxing location with great staff. Good for a total switch-off type of getaway. Loved the efforts made by the staff to ensure guests were entertained. Only wish the ‘luxury’ villa had all the anticipated luxury amenities - although the view and privacy were luxurious, the extra touches you might expect for the price were a bit lacking. E.g. spa not working, old linens and outdoor bathroom and kitchen/dining areas were more ‘rustic’ than luxury. But otherwise a pleasant stay.

The staff at Nanuya Island Resort are all INCREDIBLE. Everyone is was so lovely - we even had drinks at the bar next door with a few on their day off! We especially adored the chef we had for the week, everything she made was delicious and we just adored her!!

We had a great stay! Staff and their kindness make this place special. Our only suggestion would be to offer breakfast earlier, especially since the sun rose at 5:30am when we stayed. Overall, we had a great time!

This place is amazing! The views from the treetop cabins are so stunning. A great place for relaxing or organising adventures nearby such as the manta rays in season. Food was excellent. Staff were so lovely and know your name. A really nice place to stop the clock and just chill. Very hard to leave and looking forward to returning next time.

The staff is exceptional. Their enthusiasm and effort to make guests welcome is unsurpassed. The property and island are authentic and unique. The rooms themselves need some updating, and border on rustic. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom, making the other areas somewhat uncomfortable. The restaurant meals are impressive, and the nightly entertainment is authentic and enjoyable.

Well I have to say it has been one of my favourite stay places ever. 56 countries hence, I had a chance to visit a lot of hotel, hostels and resorts but I would rate my staycation in Nanuya as one of all time bests. The dining area has a vibe of it own, they have mastered everything possible from welcomes at arrivals to departure songs, from supremely done eggs in the morning to taking care of dietary requests. The resort just puts you away from all the tensions. Around the resort you have the blue lagoon beach and an hour boat's ride away would be the famous Yasawa caves. We preferred relaxing a lot in our tree top bure which had an all time view from the bed to the ocean-what a feeling. One of our favourite times in Fiji!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nanuya Island Resort. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The continental breakfast was great and I liked that we had options for the other meals of the day and were not tied into any meal plan. The activity supervisor was great and ensured there were a variety of free and paid activities every day to choose from, whether it was snorkeling off a nearby reef, cave tours or even a coconut demo. I also loved the song the staff sang every morning - a great start to the day! The tree top bures were wonderful! They are small but there is not much need for a lot of space. I was worried about not having A/C but with the windows open and fan on we were comfortable at night. The shower heats immediately, which is also nice. We loved our balcony and watched the beautiful sunrises every night. I hope to return one day!

Nanuya was a stop on our island hopping and it was a good choice! We stayed in a treetop bungalow, which was beautiful and the treetop breeze helped with the no AC. Recommend the walking paths, especially the one during low tide around the island. Wear sandals or something that is comfy but you can remove, the spot between Nanuya and Turtle island is a muddy spot and better to go barefoot. Snorkeling by the Blue Lagoon was worth doing too, beautiful coral and fish. The food was good, each meal time had 3 options and a dessert to choose from. Breakfast was included and had the basics, including fresh fruit and juice. The bar drinks were delicious too. Amini, Linda, and Tui are special mentions for the staff they were so friendly and kind. The majority of the staff was though!!! The wifi is not free and really only works in the main area, it is purchase time plan and it was kinda a hassle to log in and out. It didn’t always work but whatever, wifi isnt that important but something to mention as it was not clear to us before we got there.

No air conditioning and very small room. We had the tree house. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They charge extra for WiFi which is not cool, but the worst they charge way too much for it. It’s ridiculous. Food prices are still high but not the worst we’ve seen throughout Fiji. The facility is okay but it is certainly not a luxury resort by all means. This is not for backpackers and budget oriented travelers,

The resort is quiet and beautiful. This is a perfect place to escape and relax. Theres only about a dozen bures here so most of the time we felt like we had the place to ourselves esp while beach side in the plentiful cabanas. The views are exquisite and the water is calm and clean for swimming. I loved the welcome we received from the staff when we arrived. They were singing and and playing guitar there and at most meals. The food options were limited but for the remoteness we were very happy with it. The cocktails were great and reasonably priced. The staff were all super friendly and went out of their way to learn our names and preferences. The best night was BBQ with local dancers brought in and fire dancing!

The staff was friendly and easy to speak with. The Tree top Bure was a hike to reach for the room but the view was worth it.

You are right....The tree top walk will definitely burn some calories, but the panoramic view is totally worth it.

Bulas, ocean delights and sunsets a plenty!!
One of the most beautiful islands within an amazing group of islands where you are greeted with song and drinks and smiles and bulas! The staff truly cares about your experience, and will chat and help guide you to things to do if need be. The rooms are kept clean and for remote island area are very modern. I had a 'tree-top' room with a balcony that treated me to an unbelievable sunset every day.
