"The property was great and clean, and the staff were amazing, except for our personal concierge, Alfredo. He didn't help with my grandson's birthday reservation or getting balloons and a cake (we told him we were there for my grandsons 1st birthday and would definitely pay for the items and assistance). Once we told him that we didn't want to attend the free massage, which wasn't free until you went to the hotel seminar, his whole demeanor changed, and he became very cold. Our second concierge, JHARYS (WHO ALFREDO SAID SHE OVER SALL 400 GUEST AND SHE COULDN'T DO MUCH FOR US BECAUSE SHE WAS TO BUSY ACTUALLY CAME THROUGH BUT WISH WE HAD MEET HER PRIOR TO THE BIRTHDAY LET DOWN) friendly, made things happen that Alfredo said couldn't and took that bitter taste out of our mouths, making the trip 100% better. A Big Thank You Jhary ;hopefully, the hotel knows, that your a good employee and an even Better Person!!!"
Private Pool Villa: Gorgeous/Comfortable/Spacious

"The property grounds were gorgeous, the garden and pool were beautiful, the air conditioning was lovely and the beds were very comfortable….the condo had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of five. There wasn’t any seaweed in front of the condo complex and the snorkeling on the bay was fabulous…we saw so many colorful fish, urchins and even an Electric Ray. We walked to La Lunita and the Jungle Cafe several times, which is only a five or ten minute walk, and the food was excellent…get the crunchy shrimp tacos if you go to La Lunita and the French Toast if you go to Jungle Cafe. Yal-Ku was amazing for snorkeling and was a short walk from the condo. This was our first visit to Mexico and Diana, the property manager, was a gem…she even arranged our airport transfer for us. We are definitely planning a trip for next year so we can go swim with the turtles and check out more cenotes."

Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 had a wonderful time just hanging out, enjoying wonderful meals from the chefs, struggling with turtles, and some of us even did whale shark swimming, which they said was totally worth the trip back to Cancun. The sargassum seaweed exists (it’s not terrible off the back of the house, but it’s everywhere in the area which really inhibits enjoyment of the beach). Also, the paddleboard and ping-pong cable were both broken and neither fixed, nor replaced while we were there."

Reviewer Comments: We spent a wonderful week at La Sirena Unit 16 with our granddaughter to celebrate her graduation, and our experience with Akumal Direct / Loco ****** was exceptional from start to finish. We were originally booked at Hacienda de la Tortuga, but before our trip the team proactively reached out to let us know that the sargasso conditions there were severe. They didn’t just inform us—they offered two alternative properties and helped us seamlessly transition our reservation. Their commitment to ensuring we had the best possible stay was clear, thoughtful, and deeply appreciated.They even coordinated the delivery of our golf cart to the new property, making the switch effortless on our end.La Sirena itself was perfect. The grounds and gardens are lush and beautifully maintained, and our villa was comfortable, charming, and well‐appointed with everything we needed. The A/C kept the space cool, the hot water was reliable, and the décor had that authentic, welcoming Mexican touch. The beach area was lovely, and we enjoyed fantastic snorkeling right from shore—with absolutely no sargasso. We also spent plenty of time relaxing by the gorgeous pool, and one afternoon the gardener surprised us with a fresh coconut, which made the moment even more special.The Akumal Direct team truly demonstrated excellence in customer service. Their proactive communication, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care for our experience made all the difference. "Absolutely amazing! This property is gorgeous and immaculate. Very close to the end of the road along half moon bay it feels very safe and private with convenient parking and a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance. I loved being able to snorkel right from the property and will definitely plan to return for a quiet retreat."
