Great location. Language barrier.
Great location, but language is a barrier. Hotel staff should have better English communication skills. Room was large. Two restaurants on site that offer a reasonable menu. The website states the hotel is equipped with fitness facilities. It is not. There are a few weight lifting machines and stretch benches, but no cardiovascular equipment of any sort. WiFi comes on and off, is rather slow and, as is always the case in China - heavily filtered. Location is great. Right by the Southern Gate to the walls of the ancient city. Walking distance from one of the few entrances to the wall tour and bike rental. 20 minutes walk to the Bell and Drum towers. Plan for a 1 hour drive to and from the Airport. Similar drive time to and from the Terra-cotta warriors historical site. Stayed there for a conference that was at same venue. Not sure I’d stay there otherwise.

Disappointed no pool
The hotel is nice enough and has a great location. However it is asdvertised as having an indoor pool and it does not. We booked the hotel because we thought it had a pool and were very disappointed to discover there was no pool. It was especially disappointed as we had two days rain when spending time relaxing in a pool would be very good option. The staff could give no explanation as to why a pool was advertised.

The hotel is pretty old and bathroom is very tiny. Not enough power outlets. I have a non-smoking room, but the floor is not non-smoking, i can see some guys smoking in their room with the door open. But you can't beat the location, it is right next to the city wall and the south gate for the city wall, also walking distance to some popular areas in Xi'an.

Nice locatrion but terrible service.
Service at the lobby terrible! Reservation made on Hotels.com was not in the system when I arrived. I had to spent half hour there trying to figure out what is going on. Out of four people at the desk, only one was speaking a little bit of English. All these people looked rude, bored an d they were laughing all the time They took passport from me for a long time. Then they 've returned it to me and then again were asking for it. During last three years I've visited several different hotels in different parts of China and also in different countries. This one was my the most terrible experience.

Good location, good price, solid hotel.
Conveniently located right outside the Souther City Gate, you can catch a car or ride into the city center. Easy to get to different sites, the concierge was very helpful (Jack) and helped us arrange tours and even call an uber when we couldn't find a cab. They don't have free airport shuttle but you can have them order a car for you. Location is good, rooms were relatively clean (the beds were a bit hard), although their shampoo and bathroom supplies weren't the best quality. All in all, good price and location, I would recommend it. There's a lamb pao mou noodle shop right behind the hotel.

Fantastic location with reespect to transport
We liked the hotel. We were given a room in the 22nd floor from where we had a good view. Room as good and we could travel to different places easily.

Extremely Poor Customer Service
I spent a few nights at this hotel in September, 2010. The first night the power in my room went out in the middle of the night. This was a problem with my hotel room, not a general problem in the hotel or area. As a result I overslept. The carpeting and upholstery were worn, and though vacuumed, were soiled with ground-in dirt. My complaints to the non-Chinese, English speaking guest services guy were all ignored. When I spoke to him directly, he said he was too busy to deal with me. I don't recommend this hotel. There are many other better hotels in Xian to choose from.

安心して宿泊出来るホテル
西安城壁南門のそばにある主に外国人が多く利用するホテルです。西安碑林や鐘楼に近く観光には最適です。 城壁側の部屋からはライトアップされた夜景も見えます。従業員は若い人が多いせいか日本には大変興味を持っていますのでとても親切でした。

サービスも謝罪も知らない
市内の劇場の予約を頼んだがされていず、謝罪も中途半端で言い訳ばかり。ドタバタの末劇場に行くことができたが、気分を害した後に何が楽しかろう。中国のホテルは外観の立派さを誇るホテルが主流でサービスを売れるホテルが皆無。日本のビジネスホテルの方が中国の五つ星以上かもしれない。判っていることだが、改めて程度の低いサービスの犠牲者になって「不運を嘆く」。
