This was originally a Quality Inn now being represented as a Comfort Inn. This is not a comfort Inn! Bathroom was NASTY and location of it in the room was even worse. Looked like a bad handy man came in and tried to update it. The room itself was ok but the bed was horribly uncomfortable. Cheap mattress on a low platform base. Beware.. this is just a Quality Inn charging the nightly price of a Comfort Inn.

Overall the property was very good except the bathroom had no electrical outlets & the one in the bedroom by the mirror was not suitable for me to use a curling tongs. I would have liked a mirror by the TV & a plug that I could reach. The curtain rod also needs to be reinstalled, Room 209.

6 of 10. Stayed in room 108 for one night Overall is good place for travelers to stop for 1 night and continue their trip. Removed 2 points for the shower. Water is all over the bathroom floor because the shower curtain is too short and shower base border is very low. The shower made like this should have glass cabine instead of the curtain. Removed 2 points for an interior look of the room and bathroom. It gave us a feeling like we are in cheep and old basement room. Rooms and bathrooms really need some renovation to be done. its not critical if you stop there just to sleep and continue your journey in the morning. However the room and the bathroom were clean enough, no mold or smell. Breakfast was very good and had many items that we didn't see in other same level hotels.

Stopped in on our trip South for one night..front desk was very helpful. Provided us with a printout of local restaurants that delivered and where to get bevies. Breakfast was hot, tasty . Convenient location, easy on and off the freeway.

Property needs some TLC. Probably needs a full renovation. The staff are trying hard and we’re quite nice the bathrooms are old and ours had a strange smell, carpet needs replacing etc. I will not be staying at anymore Comfort Inns as most seem to be in bad shape

I love the location and coziness of this hotel. The breakfast was great!! We enjoyed that every morning. I would definitely stay here again. The only 2 suggestions I would have are that the TV might need to be updated and when we first walked into our room it smelled a little musty. But not deal breakers.

Don’t book through Expedia for this property. You will arrive at the property and be told they are having issues with Expedia booking. Then you are told you do not have a room, despite presenting a valid confirmation number. I arrived at 1am to hotel after attending a sporting event and was told sorry we do not have a room for you. Thankfully Expedia refunded for the room.

Bed bugs!! Awful!! Stayed with my parents and my son, ended up with bed bug bites ALL OVER ME!!! Thankfully my 3 year old doesn’t have any bites. I went to urgent care once we got to our condo at the beach, was informed it was bed bugs, so this is medically confirmed. The room smelled musty and damp. Bathroom was tiny and hair everywhere. Bed was comfortable, that’s about the only positive.

I have been staying here off and on for at least 25 years. Now I visit Wytheville twice a year and for 2 days each visit. This visit I was able to get a room with handicap facilities and it was obvious that an attempt had been made to upgrade the bathroom for handicapped persons. However, there is no safety bar at the left hand entrance to the shower, the bathroom and shower floor are nicely tiled but can be slippery when wet and there needs to be some anti slip strips in the shower. Also there are no handholds near the toilet and the toilet is of standard height. There is no obvious place to put safety bars near the toilet so if possible, a taller handicap rated toilet would be safer. As it is, its very difficult to safely get off the toilet if you are handicapped. These are not meant as complaints, just suggestions about how to improve the handicap facilities. Thank you.
