Look elsewhere
It needs a lot of updating, for example, needs showers (has bathtubs), needs better decor, etc. also needs better service (inconsistency in number of toiletries and towels). Finally, enforce no smoking ban. It’s ridiculous how smoky the hallways were and the smoke got into rooms.

Nice and convenient place to stay
It was a pretty decent hotel with nice friendly staff. It was near to the food street which serve food till late and is frequented by locals so u get authentic food. Hotel might need to be more strict on smoking as my room sometime smells of stale smoke from neighbouring room. Bed was comfy, breakfast was ok. Taxi was also easy to get and plenty of convenient store nearby too.

First time seen a Novotel which had no branding to display. Maybe they are not doing well in China. American changes do struggle unless and until they adap Chinese style. Rooms were of decent size with all amenities. Hotel staff was kind and enthusiastic. Lots of local food shops near the hotel and many big shopping malls to explore as well.

Stay at Novotel Wuhan Xinhua
The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed is comfortable. Quite a few restaurants,convenience shops and a shopping centre nearby.

One night stay.
It was a one night stay, hotel staff had some trouble confirming our booking, it took about 20 minutes or more to process our check in. The room was clean and comfortable.

Good location and price
Conveniently located in a business district of Hankou, Wuhan. There is a whole street of local restaurants just around the corner of the hotel which is interesting if you want to try out some local food. Just across the road from the West Lake, you can have a very nice walk around the lake and visit the bars around it. The hotel itself isnt new, but it is well maintained and rooms are clean.

Had an amazing stay!!
From the moment I entered the hotel, the staff were amazing, helpful and very courteous. My room was very clean, the shower was powerful and the prices were fair. The front desk staff were very good at speaking English, I purchased all my train tickets at the hotel and the bellboy even helped me to put money on my Chinese cellphone card; and I didn't have to leave the lobby. When I am in Hankou Wuhan, this is the ONLY hotel I will use.

I was not happy with my stay. 1. I was hustled into a room with no window to the outside (i did not notice for 2 hours so i didn't complain) 2. The closet light did not turn off when door closed. Light stayed on throughout niwght. 3. The tub draied very slowly. Showering filled the tub. 4. To get to the gym, one must first walk through a bar then go up an elevator before walking through a KTV joint and up stairs to the next floor. Hotel Staff were kind but facilities horrible.

In need of an update, avoid room 211
In need of an update. Staff were fine but gym walls had mould stains and some wallpaper peeling off the wall. I was allocated room 211 which has almost no daylight. A big concrete beam blocks half the window and the remainder is under a covered entrance to the underground garage. Complained and was moved within 15 minutes (quite impresive) but avoid that room unless you like the dark.

The location was not easy to find and from the pictures on the site and lobby were much better than the actual room. There was no heat in the first room and they asked me to wait an hour for it to come on I did and then after two hours freezing got to change to another room and by 2 am the room got to 58 degrees. They made no accomidation for this but by day two the heat came on. The pool is not as nice as pictured. The chairs all have mold on them the water is cold and in general the hotel is in need of people that care. My advise is look elsewhere.

Good hotel in good location
The room was clean & comfortable. I expected a breakfast with the room, but with the Expedia rate, I did not get breakfast. The room had a window that looked out on the mezzanine surrounding the lobby, and chairs were stacked pup at our window. A guest paying full price would complain loudly.

The hotel is in good location. However, the rooms are small and the bathroom is very small. Requested to pay more to have a bigger bathroom and was told the bathroom are all of the same size, except for suites.

My room was next to the parking garage and it was noisy at night. also the noise from other rooms was very loud. I could hear the TV and other people talking in the room next to mine. I would recommend the hotel but confirm room location on check in.

Outstanding hotel
I have now stayed at the Novotel in Wuhan for 6 nights and it is fantastic! The staff could not be more accommodating, friendly, helpful, etc. The hotel is lovely and the rooms perfect. And the location in the center of the city is excellent. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Friendly hotel with excellent service. Communication in English was not a problem. Location was ideal and the setting although close to the city centre was next to a lake which was very pleasant
