Smart and Tidy Hotel

Posted 03-Aug-2017
Pros: Room size and cleanliness.
Cons: Service in restaurant, only ordered main course which took 35 minutes to be served.
Nice Hotel, well maintained excellent sized room. Not far from Bolesworth Castle. Oscars was the hotel restaurant. Food was OK but the service was slow. Offered a 3 course "Menu of the Day" as well as the A La Carte. Rate included breakfast, good breakfast buffet selection.

Simply Beautiful

Posted 11-Jun-2017 on Hotels
Great place, warm, friendly, comfortable, great location. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bath was spacious and very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous with flower beds, fairy light gazebo and manicured shrubbery. Parking is easily accessible. We did not have dinner or breakfast at the hotel but there are two nice pubs close by, The Golden Lion and The Alyns. Both have delicious meals. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Two nights in this hotel was superb and relaxing. Close to the roman city Chester where you will find the best restaurants for lunch / dinner.

Nice, but check if breakfast really is included!

Posted 24-May-2017
Pros: Clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Peaceful location. Fast check in.
Cons: Communication between Expedia and the hotel in order to avoid a repeat of the problem we encountered at breakfast.
Location: There is a great deal of pleasant countryside for hiking within driving distance of this location.
Check in was quick. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was peaceful. The food at breakfast was good. The only problem was that at breakfast we were told that our booking was "room only". This was a surprise to us, because when we booked this hotel on Expedia, it had stated "breakfast included" on the website an in the confirmation email. Thankfully, after explaining this at reception, it was agreed that we would not be charged for breakfast.

Excellent value friendly hotel. Great location.

Rossett Hall is a relatively small hotel in a very convenient location for Chester, Wrexham and North Wales. My wife and I stayed in the modern wing, which was very comfortable. If you book over the internet be sure what is included - we thought breakfast was in the Expedia rate when it was not. However, the desk staff charged it to us at the internet rate not the published price - excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Although there was an event on while we were there, guests seem to have been separated and we were not disturbed. I would recommend the first not ground floor as there are some creaky floorboards! There are also a few eccentricities, like every room light comes on with the beside light and the bathroom light switch is by the door to the room not the bathroom. The hotel had very good meeting/event/wedding facilities in the more characterful older part. Overall it was a happy experience and offered much better value than the other local hotel, providing a pool is not essential then I would always return here.

Rosset Hall Chester

Posted 24-Nov-2011 on Hotels
Small independent hotel located a few miles out of Chester but with more than ample parking and on a regular bus route both to Chester and Wrexham. Friendly staff. Hotel itself spotlessly clean, our room was in the modern block and and very comfortable. No noise at night. Pleasant change from the uniformity of the branded hotels. Represented excellent value for money

Rossett hall hotel - a lovely place to stay

Posted 25-Jun-2011 on Hotels
I really enjoyed my stay at Rossett hall. The hotel is in a good location with several nice pub/restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is set in lovely grounds and is very aesthetically pleasing both inside and out. My bedroom was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was really good with an excellent shower. The staff also deserve a mention. They were very helpful and friendly without exception.
