It fulfilled my purpose, staff was Friendly, the room was clean, the bed clean and comfortable. (Not cheep bedding) a good night’s sleep. Parking excellent. The location of your lodge was perfect for my needs.

The public house used to be very good...its all looks worse for ware now. Pity Hopefully in the futcher re decortion and some t.l.c.😉

Great stay
The hotel was great , I loved the living space on the ground floor then a mez sleeping area, Slightly disappointing that there isnt a bar or restaurant though.

Clean and friendly
Rooms are too warm , bed for us was too soft. But clean and quiet . No problems . I would stay there again no problem

The service was excellent but the room itself was hot at night (so we couldn't sleep properly). There was no air conditioning so we had to have the windows open. However, the roads are very noisy so that affected sleep also. Finally, the walls are very thin so other customers shutting their doors was very loud. In short, great staff, poor rooms.

Over priced. When booking with Expedia was told no twin rooms were available. YetHotel was virtually empty. £100 a night was not acceptable for quality of hotel

You have left us a poor review but you did not stay with us. You reserved a family room for 2 adults and 2 children (sofa beds for 14 years and below) and when we contacted you you advised 4 adults would be staying. This is against H & S regulations so we offered to sell you a second room and you did not get back to us. We did not charge you for your reservation.

Journey break
I was breaking a journey through to Holyhead. The guy on reception changed my room from the road side of the hotel as it slightly quieter. Just a decent hotel to stay at.

Restaurant and bar now permanently closed.
Room was clean and tidy but somewhat dated. Whole experience let down by very noisy road nearby (you definitely wouldn’t be able to sleep with the window open on a hot evening) and the fact that the bar and restaurant are now permanently closed. We were not warned of this I’m advance and struggled to find somewhere else nearby for food. Restaurant only open for breakfast which was basic but OK.

Thank you for your review. We actually do not advertise that we have a bar/restaurant and have not for some time now (if you have stayed before you may have used them).There are lots of local restaurants and we have them listed in Reception.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your breakfast as we usually get excellent feedback about it. We are also sad that the bar/restaurant is closed - this is why they are not offered on the Expedia website

Dreadful night sleep.
We had to complain just after midnight about the noise. Apparently a choir was staying and although ask to keep the noise down they ignored the staff. The lady on reception apologised and said it was a one off and yet another guest said it happened on the Thursday and Friday night too. We weren’t the only guests to complain. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Nice place - we would return
Modern building, with standard hotel rooms, clean and roomy. Bathroom dated but clean with every facility. Hotel has resumed room service which is nice. Basic breakfast available but no evening meal. A helpful guide to local restaurants was provided. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only real problem was the small double bed which had a very soft mattress and we found this uncomfortable.

Handy hotel if your working locally.
Hotel reasonable. Stayed here a few times. Make sure you don't leave early though, no refunds available. Even when you pay at the hotel for breakfasts at check in, no refund available

Hello, Thank you for staying with us. As long as guests change their bookings via the agents they book with and they are within the cancellation policy of that agent we do not have a problem with guests leaving early. We do not cancel breakfast once ordered as we staff according to numbers.

Great location and very clean hotel
Very clean mid range hotel. staff pleasant but really didn't need to contact them. well positioned for our trip as easy walk into Chirk and easy access to surrounding places for walking. Only down side was hotel food very basic and closed over weekend but to be fair they did inform me of this well in advance and understandable due to staffing difficulties in general vacinity.
