This is the worst hotel if you can even call it that. When i walked in entrance looked moldy. People waiting at desk nobody there. Creepy guy wondering around. Was told pool wasnt working broken pipes. He said it just broke down. Not by the looks of it. Its been a long time. Hallway smells. Room ,no phone no soap,shampoo,no free wifi. No television, no chair, no trash can. The door looks lke its been jimmed open a cowbar more thaan once. Shower needed cleaning. Carpet felt dirty. I would have changed hotels but it was late when i got into town. Wa given pass code for wifi never got internet. Tv had a cable coming from a adjoining room. No lock on inside door for extra security. The guy at the front desk suggested i could cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. If i could have i would have. It was late my elderly mother was tired. The only small saving grace the bed was clean and comfortable. Very snall saving grace. Will see if breafast is available this morning. No good reviews about that on reading other reviews.

First there was no record of my reservation. The room key then did not work. The Tv did not work. Non smoking room reeked of smoke. Shower tile wall had big hole. There were no cups , coffee , soap, shampoo on the room . I was told by clerk that breakfast was at 6 am . Went there at 7 am, nothing period. Went to my car at 7 am and there were tweakers parked next to my car asking me for things, one even followed me into the lobby. There were about 3 cars on the lot . I left and called the manager about the problems . I was informed that they dont provide breakfast when they have few guests. Certainly not what the clerk told me at check in or what is stated on the listing . I was booked for 2 nights but with unsafe and worthless i moved my stuff out at 5 pm after my business day I am 60 and this was the worst excuse fir a motel and management I have seen. I spend about 30 days in a year in motels. Some people should not be managing or running a business period. Ps . When i WENT back to the room , there had been no housekeeping and none of the things i was missing had been stocked. AVOID THIS MISMANAGED DUMP AT ALL COSTS . A FREE ROOM HERE WOULD BE OVERPRICED .

My baby sister is traveling across the country from the west coast. She was near Jackson when she asked me to get her a room to sleep as she is alone. I am in California. The ONLY reason I reserved her this room at Econo lodge was they have a pool and breakfast. Neither were available for her last night and no breakfast this morning! Bugs on the floor, what a waste of money. Clean up your property! She was so worried about her car being broken into. This place is horrible

The room was overall nice but when I attempted to check in there was nobody there. I waited, called, waited nobody. Finally someone staying there banged on a door and yelled that people were waiting. A while later a sleepy man came out and checked me in without even an apology. It shouldn’t take an hour of waiting to get into your room.

They tried to tell me it was too late to check into my room even though it clearly states check in time is from 3pm to 7am. There was mold all over the walls and ceilings. Lots of water damage. They could not provide me the room I had booked because “5 people booked at the same time”. I’ve seen portapotties at concerts cleaner than this hotel. Do not waste your time or money here. I slept in a chair in the hotel lobby. Atrocious. I cannot say enough bad things about this hotel. The AC didn’t even work. How are they still in business. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Our stay here was the last night of a weeklong trip of over 1,800 miles. We were looking forward to a swim in the evening only to find out that the pool was closed (and apparently had been for some time). One reason I chose this hotel several months in advance of our trip was based on pictures posted on the website. The pictures show a beautiful large area for the pool and hot tub. Other issues we encountered were no soap in the room, no drinking cups, the toilet leaked on the floor a bit when flushed, the TV didn't work at first but a maintenance man did come and fix it when I complained. The beds themselves were clean and comfortable. However, the hallways smelled of smoke even though it's a non-smoking facility. The attached restaurant in the pictures showed an operating facility, but it was closed. We did not encounter the owner. The gentleman who checked us in was cordial, but when I quesitoned why the pool was closed he insisted that I had called two days ago inquiring about the pool and he had told me it was closed. I NEVER made such a call. All my dealings with the facility were online reservations made months in advance. There was a breakfast available, but it was fairly limited. What saved it was that there was a working waffle iron. I could not get the Keurig coffee maker to work (could be that I rarely ever use one and didn't understand it to be fair). In one of the hallways snack and soda vending machines were empty and not operatinoal. Lack of good security.

The room was cold, The Heat was set up and there is no way you can manage the temperature in the room, i couldn't stay i had to leave to check out at 4am because i didn't want get sick, even thou i got sick 2 days later

Look at the video on YouTube about it.
Leaking roof in the lobby, restaurant closed but still advertised. Pool has a wooden fence around it and is empty. The jacuzzi is empty and looks like it was used as a sand box. Had to wait 15 mins to check in, and another night my keys wouldn't work, had to wait 30 mins until I found someone to renew them.

Worst, worst, worst hotel for that price!
Worst, worst, worst hotel that we have stayed in many years. The pictures on their site must've been from over a decade ago when it was fresh & new. DON'T BE DECEIVED by the nice pictures on their website! There is a fire code violation posted on the door as you walk in, if that gives you any indication of the conditions. Not a single functioning ice machine on the property, the restaurant advertised on the site is actually closed down, filthy showers, only half of the lights work, the mgr asked us to only sleep on one of the dbl beds in our room, and I could continue writing a book about all of the reasons that you wouldn't want to stay at the EconoLodge unless they drastically lowered the price to match the low quality of their place!

Would not recommend.
We stopped here on our way home from family Christmas and it was awful. Stuff coming off the walls, hair all over our bathroom like it was never cleaned, the hot tub had specs of "things" in it that we didn't know what they were, the beds were hard as a rock, the TV wasnt even hooked up so we had to hook it up. No one worked the thank desk the entire time we were there. Woke up thinking there would be breakfast as advertised and there was not. Thank goodness we were there for less than 15 hours. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was nasty ...the customer service was horrible and rude.. check out before my stay was over . The pictures on the internet did not look the same as shown ...my kids were scared to go into the pool and JACUZZI DUE TO HOW DIRTY IT LOOKED. OUTSIDE OF MY VEIW WINDOW WAS A STORAGE OF OLD BED FRAMES AND CHAIRS. On the hall there was chairs paled up against the wall making it hard to walk through the hallways.

Not a nice place to stay. I had to kick my hotel room door hard to close it, because the door and frame was broken/rotten. Very musty smell in the room. The air-conditioning eventually cleared the smell. The Hotel room's window view showed 2' tall weed and grass junk-filled lot behind the motel. Very over-priced. Junky chairs blocking many hallways. Rotting doorways in the pool area, partially open to the outside. No one on duty ever at the desk. I had to search through many hallways to find the ice machine. I had to search though the hallways for the breakfast room. Very unappetizing breakfast. I will never stay here again

This owner cheats people!
I was cheated and overcharged by the owner!!!! I brought my cat with me and hotels.com said the charge was $10 for pets. The paper I signed at front desk said $10 for pets. The owner charge me $50 for my cat. She said cats cost more than dogs but all the paperwork said pets were $10. She said I was lucky because if she was busy she would’ve charged me $250 for my cat. That is illegal and wrong

Well the front door to the main lobby can not open all the way and there was nobody at the desk just a couple of room keys with my name on it. Then I was called back to the front desk to have them scan my credit card and still nobody was there and I had to call them to come to the desk after they called me to come to the desk. Absolutely the worst experience I have had there.

The pictures of this hotel listing are not representative of what is there. The hotel is in need of a lot of work. Our room smelled horrible. The staff was friendly but I didn't try confronting them about anything.

Check in was fast, when I asked for a reciept I was told that I couldnt have one, since I had paid online. Went to my room and it was COLD! I had 2 exit doors, 1 to the outside, 1 to the inside hallway. I turned the heat on immediately (once I found a light that worked). I decided to go to the restarant while the room warmed up. At 4:45 pm the restaurant was dark, I asked the front desk man if it was open, he said no. I asked when or if it would be opened and apparently disturbing him, he said "it will be opened as soon as I get done with my paperwork." So I went to Embers, which was very freindly and warm! Returning to my STILL VERY COLD room, I climbed under the thin blanket, turned on the TV and shivered. I didnt want to disturb the guy at the front desk again. It took a little over 7 hours for it to warm up to 70 degrees! I had reserved my room and he knew I was staying there, it would have taken 2 minutes to turn the heater on earlier in the day to help make my stay better. I may have been the only customer there. I did not see other people or any other cars there at all. I did not sleep well, the chains on the doors had been ripped off, but 1 had been replaced. Breakfast- it was dry. juice and coffee was watered down. Was happy to leave. Motel was older, not updated. Room was clean. Had microwave and fridge. Bathroom had a heat light, I went in there quite a bit to warm up!

"Pet Friendly" isn't all its cracked up to be ...
While the review said pet friendly, I was informed by the hostess at the desk that they were only dog friendly. Fortunately, the honored my booking since it came through Expedia; unfortunately, it wasn't really worth what I paid for the room. The general maintenance and upkeep looked about three years behind schedule, the rooms were dark and didn't feel clean, even though they weren't terrible. One of the queen beds began to tilt up off the frame the moment I put weight on the right side. I don't plan on being in Jackson, MN again anytime soon, so not staying here again won't be a concern, but this location will certainly make me think twice before I book at an Econo Lodge ever again.

All the problems centered on the room and the staff. Room looked like an annex, extra refrig, extra furniture in room, shower water control leaked, could not turn off completely the cold water, sink did not empty easily. Staff thought I had checked out after my first night, paid for 2 nights. Gave my room to another group. They barged into my room while I was their. Front desk said we thought you checked out. Courtesy at the front desk was rude and not efficient. Never came to clean my room. When I asked the said there was a do not distrub sign on the door. Total lie. Sign was in my room all the time. I asked them just to get me clean towels, etc and don't clean the room. 90 minutes later they had forgot that and had to tell them again as I was leaving for the evening. Saturday people in check in trying to take care of another customer, 2 of them and they both tried talking at the same time. It was some of my friends and I was up there trying to get my towel problem solved. Coffee, 2 containers at 8 am on Saturday, one was empty, the other was cold. No one there to do anything about it. Will never stay there again. If no rooms available at other places will drive from another town. This is a place, town, at least 6 weekends a year.

Dirty, wall sockets with no protective covers, noisy bathroom fan, malfunctioning air conditioning, chain lock blown off the outside door, pool was dirty with a plastic pop bottle floating in it, promised a breakfast all that was in the lobby was two airpots with cool coffee, dirty caulking in the shower, one handle broke off the sink, no microwave, cigarette butts all over outside the rooms, the online pictures are a lie, the reviews must be a lie or they are from a time long gone.

Our room smelled like a gym locker room. Took almost an hour before the air turned on. Only food available the night we checked in was in the bar (we had two teenagers with us). Restaurant not open in the morning. Free breakfast only from 6-9am. Housekeeping barged into our room while we were still sleeping around 8am. They then barged in two more times while we were getting dressed and packed up even though we had the DO NOT DISTURB on our door.

The hotel and hotel staff satisfied all of our needs, but I would like to say that they could stand to refresh their breakfast bar food. The gravy for the biscuits stayed out for way too long, so it wasn't fresh at all. Either that or the recipe was just not right.

I'm an artist attending a show in Arnold's Park, and knew going in this wasn't a 5 star hotel. This place is older than the hills and I have nothing good to say about it. Not clean, blood on the sheets, questionable electric layout, the towels smelled as if they had been washed in water without the benefit of detergent, no cups for the coffee in the reception area and NO hot breakfast. No one was around when I checked out and the lady at the desk was really hard to understand. Stay here as a last resort only. I could have stayed in my truck and had a better time. You get what you pay for and I know that as a struggling artist.
