"The man at the front desk was very friendly, but sadly that was the only good part of our stay. After a 12-hour drive, we arrived exhausted with our kids and were hoping to finally get some rest. At first, the room looked like what we had booked, but there was a huge AC unit inside that was unbelievably loud. Even after turning it off, the fan kept running all night and could not be shut off, so sleeping was basically impossible. The room itself also felt very dirty and worn out. The carpet was sticky under our feet, the bathtub/shower was in terrible condition, and everything felt grimy, outdated, and unpleasant. We live in the U.S., so we understand that standards can differ from what we are used to in Germany, but this felt much more like a run-down motel than a hotel. To top it all off, the toilet was clogged. We now have another 8-hour drive ahead of us and are leaving completely exhausted. This was already our second bad experience with this hotel chain in two different locations, and it will definitely be our last."
