Business trip

Posted 13-Sep-2016
Pros: Spa facilities
Cons: Lots!
Not my first visit to this hotel, but both myself and colleages haVe found that the standard has fallen below what is expected. During thiS visit, the main restaurant was closed, no prior warning before booking and no info on arrival. Only bar meals available. Satff not helpful and appear poorly. Rooms for price need some TLC especially the bathrooms.

Not staying there again

Posted 17-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Reserved a lot of rooms due to that I organizing a wedding close by (not at the venue). My guest and I really wanted to stay at the Hotel due to its size and therefore for us to stay at the same location. Best thing about the hotel the view: its really nice looking over the golf course. Worst thing the service: staff are rude! Tried to make guest pay more than agreed at the checkout! "one of my guest said "That's not the price you quoted me", answer or yeah " you had the special rate. Also when calling the hotel to make sure everything was booked ok, reception spoke to you as they were inconvenienced by us calling. Also had to asked multiple times for call backs. We might have reserved around 20 rooms in total so we are also not talking about peanuts, I normally would think you would get really good services when reserving so many rooms. Think what happens when you get only one room. I would not stay there again.

Room was v nice and clean except under beds where my daughter found old sweets and tissues. Outside bar tables dirty and menus had ketchup on them. Burgers of average quality. Cooked breakfast overcooked. Tea brought to table but only milk was by cereal. Should have small jug on table. Reception good and very helpful.

Nice quiet hotel

Posted 17-Jun-2016
Pros: Nice and peaceful
Cons: Not that we were aware of.
Location: Well placed to go into Woodbridge and also the Suffolk coast both of which we did.
It was a birthday all we wanted was a quiet and comfortable place to stay and thats what we got. Lovely on a sunny day which it was. Did not use any of the facilities but they all looked ok. It had been a long day and this was somewhere we had stayed before and did us well. Well placed for our onward journey up the suffolk coast to Aldeburgh. Famous for its Fish & Chips.

Really pleasant break.

Everyone was very helpful at the front desk and at the spa. I particularly recommend Elly, who I had booked for a massage - she was wonderful. It was very nice to have the pool there too - although the pool house was very hot and smelt strongly of chlorine. I did not eat dinner at the restaurant, but breakfast was good.

Feeling Cheated

Posted 18-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Hotel did not have all spa and pool facilities advertised as unserviceable. All spa treatments fully booked, and entertainment fully booked. Full amount taken on booking so no cancellation available, and not notified of reduced facilities until arrival. Noise from entertainment travelled to rooms. Did not get forces discount from Hotels.com even though prepayment taken by hotel in full.

Slow internet

Posted 13-Feb-2016 on Hotels
The hotel and staff were first class nothing was to much trouble for them although I only used it for bed and breakfast due to work commitments. The only negative was the very very slow internet connection which the receptionist says was being looked at to make an improvement in the near future
