Great overnight near Sutton Hoo.

Posted 21-Feb-2017
We came to see Sutton Hoo and had just the one night stay but found everything very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Grest pool and facilities. Refurbishment work was going on in part of the building but it did not affect our area or enjoyment. We would definitely recommend.

A very Merry Christmas

Posted 26-Dec-2016
Pros: The friendly staff
Cons: More coffee at breakfast
Location: Woodbridge is a delightful old world town with the wonderful Tide Mill and even a cinema!
We only stayed for short period but we were welcomed by extremely cheerful English staff who could not be more friendly or attentive. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a break away from the rat race of the city and wanting to be treated like a human being not just a number for a day or two!

Bed was poor. Uncomfortable, it had a dip and you could feel the springs.

Expensive meals, kids kicked out of pool at 7:30

Posted 30-Oct-2016
Pros: The views of golf course in Autumn were spectacular. The golf facilities are great. But then that's not actually part of the hotel!
The whole point of coming to this hotel as a family with kids was the pool facilities. After settling in for a swim at 7:00, shortly after the life guard says we need to leave because it's adults only time and kids aren't allowed after 7:30. There are no signs up saying this and no one mentioned this rule when we got our towels at 7:00. Just told to get up and leave. What a joke.

An average hotel with a great golf course.

Posted 29-Oct-2016
A disappointing stay. The staff were very average on reception with little interaction at arrival and check out. Bar staff were very good. Our room was a superior family room. Whilst the room was clean and warm it was not superior with damp lines on the ceiling and peeling wall paper. The hotel from what we saw was average at best but the golf course looked amazing.

Relaxing half term break with kids

Posted 28-Oct-2016
Pros: Check in and out times really convenient, pool and facilities, Fridge in the room, hairdryer in the room, crazy golf course, bar menu, friendly staff
Cons: Room decor a little dated. Mini spa treatment for children? My daughter would have loved a nail polish or mini treatment!
Location: Excellent location for visiting many parts of Suffolk. Woodbridge town is lovely and pretty with shops and restaurants.
I stayed 2 nights mid week with my 2 children aged 10 and 15 years, we came up from Kent to visit friends in the area over half term and used the hotel as a base. I was pleasantly surprised at the family friendliness of all aspects of the hotel we felt very welcome. There was plenty to do for both children, with good pool facilities (although maintenance works being carried out meant it was a little on the cool side!) a driving range and a really fun and well maintained crazy golf course for all of us. Check in and out was so simple and I particularly liked the convenient check in and out times, a real bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good and reasonably priced in the bar (we didn't try the restaurant). Our room had everything we needed, I was delighted to have a hairdryer and the little fridge where we kept a small bottle of milk was a very welcome addition. All in all, excellent value for money, a great experience and one we intend to repeat next time we are in Suffolk.

Very dirty

Posted 27-Oct-2016 on Hotels
It was one of the worst places l ever been to. The room was very dirty full of dust all over. The bed is all springs you could feel when sleeping. Breakfast was horrible and never felt sad like this before. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and l was sad all day until when we had our dinner which we went to a chinese restuarant.
