    5/5 Excellent

It was perfect for our requirements. Great location, warm friendly staff, room clean and cosy. Love the decor and feeling of the pub. Dinner was delicious and definitely recommend the breakfast.

Basic room but fine for my needs. Shared toilet facilities but not really an issue. Room was in main pub building but no noise from pub. Pub itself was great, good beer, good food and very friendly staff

The staff were great, very helpful and accommodating and the food was good. However the room we paid £100 for was below standard. The room needs urgent updating, the dust on the fan was thick. There were tea & coffee facilities but unfortunately no tea bags or coffee sachets, so couldn’t have any. There were chunks out of the walls and the wallpaper was torn. Paintwork was grubby. The shower room was tiny and you could hardly move. On the plus side there was plenty of hot water and a decent water pressure in the shower. The room we were allocated was nothing like shown on the website.

Booked a 2 night stay...only stayed for 1 night. The room was dirty....thick black mould on the windows, and in the bathroom an old stained and very smelly carpet as well as more mould around the shower. . We were in room 11 above the bar so quite noisy too. When the room was 'cleaned' the next day the used tea cups were left unwashed by the bed and the milk not replenished. I told the staff why we were leaving saying that the room was a health hazard but despite leaving my email address have heard nothing from the management. They didn't seem bothered. There are what look like newer rooms on the other side of the pub. Can't comment on those but the rooms over the pub are in my opinion not fit for staying in.
