Haven Hotel

Haven Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Despite mixed reviews we have nothing but praise for this hotel and its staff. The location and views were wonderful. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant and breakfast was excellent. Yes, the hotel is a bit tired and dated but fully understand why with the continuous battle for it to remain open and not be developed into flats. That must be worrying for all staff, but I could not fault them one bit on their service and attitude. Please let this hotel remain here and invest in its future for people to come and stay for many more years to come."

Sandbanks Hotel

Sandbanks Hotel

8/10 Good
"We stayed in a family room on the first floor which was spacious and clean with a sea view. The furnishing in general was adequate but quite dated. This was reflected throughout the hotel. The bath was rusty which meant we relied on the shower which was good. The balcony door wasn’t secure with a flimsy catch. The radiator although not used was very rusty in need of maintenance. The decoration in the public areas was better in general it felt like the hotel needed a refurb"

"Liked the proximity to the beach and for walking into town. Bus stops close by. Would have liked a fridge in the room, not the cool box that was provided as it was inadequate. Great stay, staff were very friendly, restaurant was decent. Would probably stay at the Rembrandt again."

Which area of Winterborne Kingston is best to stay in for cheap hotels?
Winterborne Kingston, a charming village in England, does not typically have "hotels" in the conventional sense, nor does it have distinct "areas" for accommodation; instead, you'll find a selection of guesthouses, bed and breakfasts, or perhaps a holiday cottage in and around the village itself. Given its rural setting, the best approach for budget-conscious solo travellers is to look for accommodation directly within Winterborne Kingston or in very nearby villages for the most economical options. For solo travellers, staying within Winterborne Kingston itself offers the convenience of being able to walk to the local pub, which often serves as a community hub and a place for an affordable meal. These smaller, independently run establishments often provide a more personal touch and can be more flexible with pricing than larger chains. Exploring the immediate surroundings on foot or by local bus (though services can be infrequent) will allow you to soak in the picturesque Dorset countryside without incurring extra travel costs.Alternatively, broadening your search to nearby towns like Blandford Forum, just a short drive away, might yield a few more budget-friendly guesthouse options. While not directly in Winterborne Kingston, these towns offer a wider array of services and sometimes better public transport links, which can be beneficial for solo travellers relying on buses to explore the wider area.
