"Stayed here in May 2026 and would not recommend. Stay here if you enjoy: hauling your luggage up the stairs because there’s no elevator, competing for parking and wondering if your car will survive the night, and sleeping beside what sounded like a Harley-Davidson idling in your room because the AC/fan and fridge were unbelievably loud. The fridge specifically sounded like a ticking clock while you’re writing a stressful exam. Dog owners beware: there’s basically no greenspace nearby for quick bathroom breaks, and the surrounding area was densely littered. It was difficult to avoid garbage even walking through the parking lot. Breakfast was also a severe disappointment. One poor staff member appeared to be running both the front desk and breakfast service at the same time. Props to him for trying, but there was no saving that food. The sausage had the texture of hot beef jerky, there wasn’t enough waffle mix or syrup, and the coffee somehow tasted both burnt and like someone whispered “coffee” into hot water from across the room. Overall, save yourself the stress and the money and stay somewhere else."

"Positive: -beautiful spacious suite, comfortable chairs and living room furniture, hot water and tub were great, fantastic location -male staff at front desk on morning of May 23, 2026, offered loaner umbrella Needs Improvement: -only one side of the bed had a hub to plug in cell phone, etc.; housekeeping staff said they had nothing else to help, & instead showed up with a spare block and cord -phone in bedroom did not work; informed front desk and housekeeping, was ignored -both room key cards did not open the safe; only the last one to lock it could open it -not much vegetarian food on the SMITH restaurant menu -front desk staff on evening of May 21, 2026 was useless: female never heard of Johnston Terminal & had no clue what was right beside the hotel to provide any information, male staff was busy speaking Punjabi on his phone -SMITH restaurant staff: Asian female with long straight hair on evening of May 21, 2026, brought wrong food to us, and then was oblivious about an item I left behind, and instead said my take out container had been discarded; I went in to look and found my item right where I left it; she smiles but is as helpful as a pinecone -May 22 evening, asked for more coffee and cream to be sent to our room while we went out for supper; 2.5 hours later, not done; we had to ask again -May 22, 2026, found someone's cut fingernail on the desk while I had a work meeting -May 22, 2026, found a corn kernel on the living room floor near sofa -suite needs more light"

"We were 2 couples, One US and one Australian. First time meeting the cousins. Had a great time and the house was conveniently located for visiting the main attractions in Winnepeg. We ate breakfasts in did some cooking, nothing fancy, and some neals out. Safeway across the street was convenient, so supplies we needed were easily available. We liked the Human rights museum. And the view of the city from the top spire was impressive. The Forks market is just next door and a good lunch spot, craft beer spot and place to buy gifts.We had dinner at Inferno's Bistro in the French Quarter, wonderful food and ambiance.Recomend the Winnepeg museum of Art especially the Qaumajuq soapstone carvings.Early spring so of course we got hit with snow and ice. The Arboretum at the Assinaboin Zoo was a perfect respit.Great visit and the house was perfectly located for our needs."
