Had not stayed before, but my travel companion had. Rooms recently refreshed and lovely bathroom. Great move - bath taken out and a walk in shower.
Short walk to either stations and the hop on hop off bus.
Very enjoyable stay
"Excellent staff, good public spaces, well done all"
We were warmly welcomed by a charming young man whose first day it was, well done him he did a great job. Our room was 219 on a corner, as we had asked for a quiet room. , only one issue the inter communicating door allowed every little noise to come through so we heard conversations, not loud just normal speech, we heard suitcases bouncing on the bed, coat hangers etc. too. I think the doors need soundproofing but if you get a room without I am sure it will be fine. Overall a really pleasant stay and we would certainly return.

Nice grounds, very pleasant staff and quick check-in/check-out process. I didn't get chance to use the facilities or restaurant though. The estate is huge and I got lost trying to find my room. The chef kindly took time out of his busy schedule to take me to the appropriate block which was much appreciated. I slept very well in a comfortable bed, but my main concern was over the cleanliness of the bedding, towels and the state of the divan. There were clear stains on the pillow cases and what looked like ground in orange/red blood stains on one of the towels. The base of the divan clearly needs repair as the latch did not fasten properly and the material is frayed all along the base. There was also large screw holes in the doors, bold scuff marks on the paintwork and a missing curtain tie which should have been replaced. Simple attention to detail in room 512 would have left a better impression. I would stay in the hotel again if I had to, but it probably would't be a first choice destination in the Windsor area.

Comfortable, clean and close enough to centre (5-10 min walk). Prefer buffet breakfast but there was enough choice and the food was good and promptly served. Extra coffee, toast etc no problem. Staff were pleasant and obliging. Planes were coming over every 20 secs as we arrived but this wasn't apparent inside, and we were not disturbed at all.
Had made plans for dining out so did not experience an evening meal or the bar.

I love the Union Inn each time I stay. It's a typical English country inn and the staff are awesome. Has a very local, homely and down to earth feel when you walk through the doors, perfect for my needs as a consultant. I must also commend the food, it's tasty with very generous portions for respectable prices. I've stayed in both a single and double en-suite and would of course recommend the double for £10 a night more. The space is worth the extra spend if you are willing to pay a bit extra. Good parking space around the back and free WiFi/breakfast is a bonus. My only small gripe is that parents seem to use the private car park as a turning point for their cars in the morning when doing the school run. Not a major issue, but it can slow you down a little more when you need to get onto a traffic heavy area between Egham and Windsor. Nonetheless, I'd definitely recommend. You won't be disappointed!

The expansive Windsor Castle dates back to the 11th century, and England’s current royal family makes frequent visits. A more modern attraction, Legoland, also draws tourists.
