Terrific location near the High Street and so close to the Castle. Great welcome from very pleasant staff, lovely building and decore. Room was superb, nicely furnished and hardly any noise from other rooms or hallways. Good breakfast selection, although the hot part of the buffet option could be improved (it was a little luke warm).

After the breath taking entry to property, the experience did not disappoint. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the experience immensely. Best breakfasts, so much selection and lovely ambience to breakfast rooms. Lovely staff, very helpful. Although a little out of the way from Windsor it was very easy to get a cab. Decor a little tired but very comfortable
Charles house is in an excellent location within minutes of the castle, town and all the shops and restaurants. It was very easy to find and access was extremely simple with an access code emailed a week or so before our arrival. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower room was of a good size with a nice, powerful shower.
The staff was very nice and friendly plus the location was great.
Our room was on the 4th, floor, up narrow steps. I wish she would have explained this situation. We would have been happy to pay a little more to be on a lower floor. The room was tiny with uneven floors. I know I don't look 71 but I am and it was a slog getting my suitcase up to the room.

From the minute we arrived we were greeted warmly. We had lunch before going to our very pretty room. Staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Food was generous, great value and delicious. room was clean, very comfortable . If I had to say anything slightly negative it would be that people staying should consider the sound of the bar, it wasnt really loud but only being on the 1st floor meant that we could hear music and voices til around 11.30 pm. Again in the morning attentive staff and great selection, quality breakfast. Will stay again.
Situated opposite of Eton on the Thames, Windsor is a town about 37 kilometers (23 miles) from central London. The expansive Windsor Castle dates back to the 11th century, and England’s current royal family makes frequent visits. A more modern attraction, Legoland, also draws tourists. Heathrow is 16 kilometers (10 miles) away.
