We found the rooms rather dirty and run down. The rooms and some of the grounds are in need of refurbishment especially the family room we stayed in. The cleaning of rooms also needs improving. Lack of plugs in the room is inconvenient and the rooms are very dark with dark blinds, furniture and decor. Staff in the bar were especially conscientious, polite and attentive and the food was fairly good although the menu was a little repetitive. We had a particularly stressful event in the bar/restaurant with police attendance. The staff and Manager handled this well and moved all guests to safety until it was resolved. We enjoyed the pool area with our child although again it is need of some attention. Overall the staff and the bar/restaurant area made our stay but I am unsure if we would book again unless there had been refurbishments.

Property was loud and full of gyp**** kids running around the courtyard at 2130 whilst my kids were trying to sleep… shouting in the corridor.

Self check-in but greeted by extremely polite staff who supervised me through the procedure Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. If you like a sports bar, it’s one of the best. . Selection of other eating options within very close, walking distance . Reasonable rate and would not hesitate to return.

I’d say the only things I didn’t like is that they ran out of food and the rooms are way too dark no main light in the rooms just a desk lamp, corner lamp and two bed side lamps. Would be nice if they have a room light

Can’t understand why a digital check in ?makes no sense with 2 staff to guide you through it ,however ,room was clean and comfortable,gloomy lighting though and the breakfast was lukewarm on both mornings x pity really because it was well presented and the dining room pleasant .

Great all round value for money. Staff in all depts were excellent & we felt that they obviously enjoyed working there. Breakfast was really good with a longer than average opening time option. The large Room was very good.

Nice getaway
Booked last minute for a couples getaway. Check in was fairly straightforward, room was surprisingly very specious and the bed was extra comfy and large. Lamp in bedroom did not work and there seemed to be no main light so quite dark in the room. Added touch of a dressing table somewhere to sit and do makeup and hair would have also been a nice added touch. Bar area was great and modern. Swimming/sauna was also very nice. We would return and recommend.

Don’t respect people on nights
I’m working night so sleeping in the day when I get back. The first night a cleaner tried coming in my room at around 11 literally knocked and opened the door I was asleep but suddenly woke up and panicked. Second day the exact same thing happens again.. not only this but an hour later it happened again but this time I’ve been told to leave it’s passed 11 and I should be checked out… I explained I’ve paid for late checkout so I could sleep till 11:45. Now in tired and have to drive to hull. Went reception told them and they not even busy just said thanks for staying sorry basically.

Self check in on screens and you can’t check in if you don’t have an email address, something my father who the room was booked for does not have and self check in is too technical for a 75 year old. The room was in need of renovation, with holes in the carpet and furniture that was falling apart. I’ve been to this hotel many times for functions and used the bar/restaurant so was very disappointed in the room, it was like I’d left and gone to another hotel.

Great place for a little break
We love Shore Ridge as the hotel is lovely and there’s restaurants, a cinema, and an arcade all within the area so it’s great for a little overnight or weekend break. The Ridge bar and restaurant over the road is great too; tasty American-style food and cocktails, with 242 at £8 before 7pm and after 10pm! Plus, our room looked out onto the field and we had this little fella right outside for most of the first day!

Very comfortable stay
Friendly helpful staff, we booked a club room so we’d get inclusive use of the pool as gym. The room was huge, nicely decorated and has everything we needed. The pool facilities were nice and clean
