This location is pretty easy to find with friendly staff and is completely worth every penny. I thoroughly enjoyed spending my time here, I only wish it could have been for longer. I would 100% recommend going here for a quiet, peaceful, holiday away with no distractions and will hopefully go back ...
Full of old world character but with modern facilities. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food (I had dinner and breakfast). Room was perfect (although the bed was on the small size for a tall person), Otherwise, highly recommended.
This was my third stay at Lucknam. When travelling from Vancouver to London I carry straight thru to Lucknam to relax, spa, dine, walk and get over my jet lag. This is an idyllic English country escape in all seasons. This year I was delighted to receive an upgrade and enjoy a wood burning fireplace ...
A lovely stay of just one night. The restaurant is excellent, as is the standard of service everywhere. A pity the drinks are so expensive. The room was very comfortable with a great view over the lawn towards the river and had a great shower.
Very welcoming host. Room with comfortable beds, excellent shower, great towels, fresh milk for tea etc. And of course, a very tasty breakfast. Difficult to fault in any way - apart from poor mobile reception and intermittent wi-fi.
My mother and I stayed two nights in the Pear Tree, and it was a delight to come back from a day of touring to the fluffy down duvet and bathroom with towel warmer. We had one of the two rooms with a private parking area, which was a real plus for two women with joint problems and a tendency to buy ...
We stayed one night in a twin room. I booked the wrong dates on Expedia but the manager was cool and sorted it out. Lovely room. Great dinner. You can talk to the chefs and they were super friendly. Lovely breakfast. It was a real example of what dedicated owners can achieve. Well done to everyone ...
If you appreciate traditional values and a historic setting over the shiny modern look - consider staying here. Wood panelling, friendly helpful staff and a serene atmosphere are in plentiful supply. As for stepping out of the huge heavy wooden door into Cathedral Close with a spectacular view of ...

Fortunately for visitors, the standard doesn't have to dip when you get back to your hotel at the end of the day.
