"Wonderful!"
It was a beautiful building w/a lot of character. It was just outside of the village but w/in walking distance. The restaurant and bar were excellent. The hotel was well placed to be used as a home base for visiting other areas. Bradford on Avon was only a 15 minute train ride from Bath.

"Perfect hotel for a relaxing break!"
We needed a base near Malmesbury to carry out renovations to our property. What a pleasant surprise. Totally unexpected! It was a lovely hotel in every way from the welcoming staff to the delicious breakfast. After staying in a large hotel in Malmesbury a few weeks ago which was a disaster this was a breath of fresh air. Thank you!

"Great B&B in a quiet location"
Very welcoming host. Room with comfortable beds, excellent shower, great towels, fresh milk for tea etc. And of course, a very tasty breakfast. Difficult to fault in any way - apart from poor mobile reception and intermittent wi-fi.

Grasmere House Hotel

"Very comfortable hotel."
We like this hotel very much. The rooms are well appointed, the beds very comfortable, and it is quiet which is a major plus for us. The staff at reception are polite and helpful which is more than can be said for the older man who was on breakfast duty. He was very surly, and disappointingly the hot buffet (though plentiful with a good variety of dishes on offer) was cold! We wondered if this was because we were later down for breakfast, but our friends who breakfasted early commented on the fact that the cooked breakfast items were cold! We will definitely stay here again, but are thinking of breakfasting elsewhere!

"Quiet restful stay"
Excellent overnight stop but would consider using it as a base for several days. Friendly staff. Quiet rural location yet close to Corsham and Bath. Two restaurants. Fine food. Plenty of parking. Characterful accommodation.

Lodge Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast

Broad Chalke, Salisbury - Map

"Spacious and relaxing"
The farmhouse was at least 200yd from the nearest road, making it nice and quiet, but a private signpost made it easy to locate. Janet was welcoming and showed me to my room, which was light and spacious, with all the usual amenities. A tea tray was supplemented by a few wrapped chocolates, further enhancing that welcome feeling. Breakfast was also relaxed, with a chance to meet the other guests and chat for a while, whilst enjoying the view across the fields.
