Nice hotel with friendly staff. Hotel was very clean. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room facilities could be improved. Shower was very slow and towels were small. The bar shuts at eleven which wasn't a problem. The problem was arriving back after eleven and having to find your way back through the back door. It was very ...

Lovely foody place to stay Great pub with luxury rooms-some nice touches like Bose Bluetooth speakers. Staff did their best to sort an issue when raised, but you shouldn't have to chase them for the advertised breakfast to be made available in the residents kitchen. We booked there because that facility was advertised. Could ...

Nice hotel outside of Bath Beautiful hotel with nice rooms, good breakfast, and friendly staff. After our experience I would recommend either staying directly in Bath or getting other transportation into Bath so that you can then walk around the city. DO NOT try to drive around Bath yourself. Otherwise, this is splendid place ...

Comfortable, friendly hotel close to Stonehenge Very friendly staff, well looked after. Interesting building in a lovely quiet location that is very handy for Stonehenge. My room was large, well furnished & comfortable with a sparkling modern bathroom. I had a peek in another room that was also lovely. Ate a full meal one night & snacked on a ...

Shame we could only stay one night! Stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Owner showed us to our room, made sure the room was warm enough and we had everything we needed. When we booked the owner contacted us to see if we wanted a cot or a bed for our youngest son.

Wiltshire is such a wonderfully diverse county that it attracts holidaymakers from all walks of life. Whether your idea of the perfect holiday involves relaxing in a vineyard or jumping out of a plane, you can be certain that holidays in Wiltshire will tick all the right boxes. Home to such a wealth of open countryside, the county is particular popular with lovers of adventure sports. Thankfully, there's no shortage of adventure sport hotels in Wiltshire to cater for the needs of these high-energy tourists.

Track Days at Castle Combe Circuit

When it comes to pure excitement, tourist attractions don't get much better than a dedicated race track. Castle Combe Circuit is the home of motorsports in the South West, making it a must-visit attraction for any adrenaline junkies holidaying in Wiltshire.

Whether you're just in town to watch the pros battle it out, or prefer to try your luck at a public race day, the popular Castle Combe Circuit is well worth the visit.

Sky Diving

To non-believers, it might seem as though there's no such thing as the perfect place to sky dive. After all, all you need is an open sky, right? Seasoned pros will tell you quite the opposite, and the bottom line is that Wiltshire is one of the best places in the country to hurl yourself from a plane!

The masses of open countryside and rolling hills make for a spectacular sight when you're hurtling out of the sky. As you'd expect, there are plenty of companies offering lessons and sky-dive packages for amateurs and experienced adrenaline junkies alike.

Walking Holidays

The glorious Wiltshire landscapes are ideal for all manner of sports. If sky diving isn't your thing, there are plenty of other ways to get the most from this exquisite county. Walking is among the most popular.

The county is packed with rural hotels and B&Bs, which serve as ideal bases from which to explore Wiltshire on foot. Staff at all hotels in Wiltshire will be happy to provide advice on which part of the county is best for your walking ability. What you won't need a local to tell you is that the prehistoric sites of Stonehenge and Avebury are worth the visit on any trek through this spectacular county!
