Nice hotel very close to I-95

Posted 25-Aug-2015
The hotel was very easy to get to. It was close to I-95 and the staff was nice. The hotel does have a pool and a hot tub.

Near I95 but little else, this hotel is self-contained with good food & drink so we did not have to go foraging for dinner. Quiet and comfortable with a professional staff, it exceeded our expectations.

Tired hotel with much room for improvement

Posted 10-Aug-2015
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: location CONVENIENT. Right next to rt95 north bound.
Our king suite's bathroom ceiling was peeling in several places, the tile and grout were poorly repaired, the room AC units were hard to regulate and too loud preventing restful sleep. When the thermostat was set at 74 degrees with outside temps were in the mid 80s the units would blow hot air. Suite size was good, furniture was older but in good shape. Mini-fridge shelves were too small to accommodate a small package of food. One highlight was the dinner at the restaurant which was superb but was followed the next morning with a terrible buffet. So bad the food and beverage manager returned out money.

Nice facility

Posted 19-Jul-2015
Pros: Room square footage. The décor. Proximity to the interstate. If I'd stayed longer--the pool and the exercise room
Cons: Like any hotel, the room, at least the one I was in, had seen some hard use. In that regard, the room could use a little refreshing.
Location: Can't really comment because we checked in late and left early. It is adjacent to the northbound lanes of I-95 and, thus, auto-friendly.
Greeting and exit at the front desk were warm and friendly. The public areas are very nice; the physical plant is high quality and beautifully decorated. The hotel is a bit hard to find when one approaches on I-95 from the North.

Loved this hotel!

Posted 06-Jul-2015
Pros: Very attractive. Nice staff. Lovely rooms.
Cons: TVs should provide network channels. We missed 4th of July fireworks.
I booked two rooms at the Sheraton Wilmington South for a stopping point on a family vacation. Check in was To accommodate my request for the rooms to be close together, we were surprisingly put on the Club Level. The lounge had more than the usual pretzels. The evening offerings amounted to dinner, and there was a full hot breakfast in the morning. Two of us went to the restaurant, where the food and waitstaff were both quite good. Also there was no charge for my dog. I cancelled a reservation at another hotel with a $75 pet charge. The only shortcoming was the cable TV which went in and out and didn't provide local network channels.

Nice hotel

Posted 06-Jun-2015
Pros: this was a very nice, clean, and convenient hotel
Cons: Not a big fan of the chairs in the room. I found them to be uncomfortable.
Location: There were plenty of stores and mini malls a short distance away. It was also close proximity to Dover Speedway.
We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. We found everything we needed there. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Disappointing hotel looks good from the outside

Posted 03-Jun-2015
Pros: The hotel lobby was very pretty, and the junior suite room I had was spacious and nicely decorated.
Cons: See the above review.
Location: It was convenient to the U of Delaware graduation.
First, the hotel did not honor my reservation for a double room. At the front desk, the clerk never said they had no double rooms available, even though I checked in shortly after 3 p.m. It was not until I went to the room that I realized they upgraded me to a junior suite. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing to say the least, There was an awful sweet smell in the bedroom, probably from the cleaning products they used. The air conditioner in the bedroom was noisy, and even after being fixed, it was still too noisy. In the enormous bathroom, the towel rack was located across the room far from the sink. The towels were too thin, even though they were 100% cotton. The bathroom mirror was not lighted well enough. Still another complaint is that I called the front desk to cancel a 5:15 am wake-up call, and I nevertheless was awakened by a 5:15 am wake-up call. Finally, the Sunday brunch was mediocre.
