Check In was fast, and easy. Hotel was clean and located by many places to eat, about 20 minute ride to downtown, 10 min ride to the college

Nice hotel. Good value

Pros: Easy access to downtown and the beach. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Coffee bar in the breakfast are and an omelet station would be nice. Shuttle service would be nice to the beach.
Location: It is close to a lot of amenities.
Hotel staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and spacious. Two free drinks in the evening would have been nice for couples. I think an outdoor pool and bar with music would help the outside atmosphere of the hotel.

Outside is nice- inside not so much

The spent a lot of money renovating the hotels main areas, but nothing when it comes to where people actually stay. Our air conditioning unit was broken and our room was 78° the entire time.

Thank you for your review. In 2014 Holiday Inn went through a top to bottom multi-million dollar renovation. Furniture, bedding, carpeting, all have been changed. Customer service is our highest priority and we are disappointed to learn that we did not live up to our high standards on this particular visit with the A/C not functioning properly. Nice Location... outdated

Cons: Update this property!!! Those key card swipe are an embarrassment!! ...and replace every thread of carpet in the rooms and definitely the hallways.
About what one would expect from a two or three star hotel property. Pros: The hotel itself is in a nice location. The breakfast buffet is great. Hotel staff are polite and very friendly. Large and comfortable king size bed. The heater in the rooms work very well. Parking is easy enough. Keurig in the room (with three K-cups: one reg coffee, one decaf, and one green tea). Cons: No recognition for being Platinum Ambassador. No bottled water offered at check-in or in the rooms. The hotel rooms are outdated. The carpet throughout the hotel appears old and dirty. The key card swipe on the door appears to be an archaic first generation model - it took three to four swipes before the door would unlock. The wifi is not reliable. My television was unplugged from behind the refrigerator (simply fix but annoying). The tv itself has black spots on the bottom of the screen - appears numerous pixels are dead - if you dont mind watching tv with the sense of sitting in a movie theater with the tops of people's heads on the screen, its fine. The door on my room had three security locks on it... I dont mind the safety, but I could not help but wonder what was so dangerous about the area or hotel that it required three latches on the door.

Great staff and location

Cons: Pillows
Location: Near several restaurants
This hotel has a fantastic staff working at the front desk. These young ladies were friendly and professional. Free drink ticket for their hotel bar and pool with hot tub. The only complaint would be the uncomfortable pillows and the slamming doors from the other rooms at night and early morning.

Your basic hotel

It’s exactly what you would expect staying at a holiday in. Friendly staff and an okay room. Nothing super fancy, nothing super comfortable. We did get two free tickets to the bar which was nice.
