Our first room did not have a separate bed or a pull-out couch for our kids. We went back down and the hotel staff was very helpful in giving us a different room. Our second room had everything we were looking for, except there were shoes and a bag in the room. Fortunately, the person was not in the room! Finally, room #3 was good to go. We wanted a pool for the kids and to do some laundry, as this was the middle of a road trip. The pool was closed for renovations and the hotel was out of laundry detergent and couldn't provide change in quarters. Fortunately, there was a hotel next door that accommodated us.
