The staff was always very nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately, my room wasn't as clean as I hoped. The floor had not been swept and was dirty, and when I moved a chair there was old nuts and crumbs and loose change underneath, so the floor had not been swept. The blankets were extremely thin and scratchy. I would not recommend this place based on how expensive it is compared to other hotels in the area that are better quality for only a few dollars more. I will still add again that the staff was nice and breakfast was good.

I don't like staying in hotels where the rooms are not inside one building due to safety reasons. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was delicious!

We will definitely come back to this beautiful place with a marvelous view!!! The receptionists, housekeepers and breakfast staff, everyone was nice, friendly and professional. Outside you could walk on the boardwalk to nice restaurants or just enjoy a nice walk after lunch/dinner.. Do not hesitate, book with this hotel!!!

Great waterfront location and view from the rooms. Hotel is perry much what you'd expect from a Best Western. Solid inexpensive accommodations.

What was unique about the property is the location of it. I didn’t like how it sits away from the street. You have to drive by other businesses and all the way to the end of the parking lot to get there.

Staff and establishment were wonderful! Our room was extremely clean and we had a wonderful view of the river. The start of the Riverwalk is right behind the property and makes for an easy walk to the rest of downtown Wilmington. Convention center is located on the same block, for anyone visiting the Convention center looking for somewhere to stay. 10/10 for sure!

Great for a few nights
Great stay overall. Very comfortable beds, clean linen, and friendly staff. Always available and helpful. The breakfast was okay, hot food wasn’t the best, but the other items were good. Coffee was okay. The biggest negative was the lack of hot water. The rain shower was a nice touch, but the hot water in the shower lasted about 3 minutes and then was just barely warm. Overall, happy with the stay and got what I payed for in an older hotel.

Spend your money elsewhere!
Not happy with this hotel. Spend your $ and stay on a nicer place. Bathroom was terrible. This hotels also charges $15 per day to park in hotel parking lot.

This hotel was such a relaxing environment. It was comfortable, clean, and close to restaurants, bars, and shops. The location on the river was such a relaxing vibe, while still close to everything.

Had problems with the shower, which they did fix the first day of a five day stay. No dresser in room, small closet, could not figure out how to run the tv at all. Was overcharged for parking when I left. Overall 3 stars.

Beautiful view! Comfy bed! Front desk staff was awesome. Shower had Luke warm water, no water pressure, the shower head has mold caked on it and towels had mud, blood or feces on it

Not good, but has potential
This facility is in need of a renovation and enhanced cleaning. It is a great location, but is very run down and dirty. The elevator, the walkways, and especially the floors of the rooms are every dirty. My son walked around barefoot in the room and his feet were turned black. It was gross. I know the team does the best they can with what they have. Best Western needs to invest in this facility as it could be a lot better than it is. I don't know when the last upgrade was, but this needs to be put on the schedule soon.

Pat yourselves on the back! I arrived in Wilmington at 4 pm. It took me over 30 minutes to locate the hotel. No signs, gps gave poor directions. I had a 5 pm commitment. My check in went smooth, once the people in front moved on. Both had used Booking and were charged more than Booking quoted them. Then we all were told that there was a $13 parking fee. None of us knew this ahead of time. Very small parking area. Staff at the front desk had to keep getting managers to deal with them problems. Made me miss my event that cost me $75. I finally got to my room, dumped my stuff and changed. When I asked for directions to the venue, no one could tell me much. I finally arrived at the venue after it ended. My room was warm until I changed the AC. It was ok, beautiful view , no microwave in the room, only a fridg. But I slept well. Breakfast was wonderful, the lady is charge was very friendly and helpful to everyone! The food was excellent! When I returned to my room, I was locked out, 1 hour before check out. Their system hadn't been updated for DST. I'd rate the hotel a 10, but the front s desk staff needs more training. Their policies need to be revised! That part I'd rate a 5.

Hidden gem
This is our little hidden gem whenever we’re in Wilmington (which is fairly often)— the staff is always so sweet and accommodating, parking is a breeze, the breakfast is above the norm and every single room looks out to the Cape Fear River… lovely, relaxing view. We highly recommend.
