Stated they had a software malfunction and were overbooked, so they booked us at Hotel Rüdisheim Hof about seven blocks away. Very small room and long walk to anywhere. Not happy.

The hotel has definitely been going a while and has some quirks due to modernisation in the past, like our toilet lid cannot stay up due to the design as well as the shower room being tiny. The car park is certainly tight and they have to keep a set of car keys in case they have to move the car. They did mention that they had to move mine but obviously after the builder had tried to ram his way through my car first. Although I can't prove that because I didn't notice it until I went out but it was obvious when I got back by the rubbish paint on the van which was on my bumper. They should have mentioned it really. Apart from that breakfast was excellent with a great choice as was food in the evening, extremely nice bar staff /waitresses and the hotel is right in the middle of Rudesheim so plenty of choices and things to do

Cute Hotel Centrally Located
Cute hotel with great staff and service. Great breakfast buffet. Lovely location right in the middle of town. However I should have realized that the train tracks were close by and that means trains running every 6 to 10 minutes all through the night. And with no AC in the hotel and our top floor room we had to keep the windows open to be able to deal with the heat. This meant zero sleep for us and our young kids. While not the hotels fault just keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper like us. Since the windows were kept open we had at least 7 spiders in the room and were constantly picking them up and tossing them out. Not a restful stay but pleasant none the less.

BEWARE...BED BUG!! After a 2 night stay we were covered with bed bug bites. I immediately contacted the hotel to alert them and provided photos. The manager, Ralf Seifer, offered us a partial refund. We had the room for 2 nights plus breakfast plus parking. We told him we thought it was fair to refund the 2 night room rate and that we would accept the charge for the breakfast and parking. We were attempting to be fair considering the disturbing, disgusting and unsettling amount of bed bug bites we sustained. Ralf agreed to credit our original form of payment and then he went dark - we never heard from him again - even after several follow up emails. I have the emails with him and he blamed the Chinese guests per the following email from him: "Dear Mrs xxxx, pleas send me your account number. We will send you Euro 200,- and say sorry for all the inconvinience. Two days before your arrival was Chinese people in the room. We think, that they bring the bed buds in our hotel. We emty now the complete room and clean everything. Sorry again we hope that will be ok for you. With best regards, Ralf Seifer". So the bed bug issue was bad enough, then he blames the "Chinese" guests, then he promises a refund and then he does absolutely nothing. We reached out to Orbitz for help and they were totally unsuccessful which is equally disappointing.The town of Ruedesheim am Rhein is beautiful & lots to do. There are numerous hotels available - we recommend staying elsewhere.

Loved the location on the Rhine river. We had problems with spiders in the room. My sister got bite and had a bad reaction on her arm. We didn’t bring it up with the lovely hotel.

Greeted at desk friendly and accommodating. As I have a handicap ( Oxygen concentrator) clerk also took bags up for me. After sometime went out to dinner and on return hotel was swamped with bus guests ( who were literally hogging entire space in front of elevator) Desk clerk saw me and how slow I was going with my concentrator asked guests who were waiting for elevator to let me on fist so I could get up to room. We liked the proximity o the Altstadt. We rate the hotel 2 star, bathrooms were below standard. Parking: no access to cars, cars are locked in compound. Hotel was disappointing, would not say there again.

Very convenient to the main sites in town and loved being right on the river. The location was also just across from the boat landing and that made it easy for us. Staff was friendly and breakfast was ample for our family

Rudesheim is a fun city to visit. There are many historical sites, restaurants, and stores. It is also situated on the Rhine River. This property is across the railroad tracks from the Rhine. There are about 50 trains per day going by the hotel. The town is wonderful. The hotel is barely average. Very small bathroom, low and hard beds and noisy streets are negatives. The breakfast is better than average. Service during breakfast is good.

Wry nice hotel overlooking the Rhine and the rail lines. The location was close to the train station, less than a kilometer away. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent with lots of quality choices. We Enjoyed our stay and would book this hotel again if in the area.

Nice hotel in a wonderful place
Stayed 3 nights at Park hotel and really had a wonderful time. The hotel is old nut clean and well maintained. The staff mostly speaks German but we were able to get by. The free breakfast was good and saved time and money. Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station but it wasn't difficult. Would stay there again.

Would recommend this hotel. Efficient check in even though we were early. Parking on site great, but there is a charge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room & bathroom was a little on the small side, but we had the benefit of a balcony. Trains run past all day and night, but we slept well. Breakfast was one of the best. The choice was amazing. We also used tbe restaurant. Menu choices good and food was excellent. Would have liked to see daily specials offered. Reasonable prices. We just had one area that disappointed. It is a non smoking hotel, but although they have outdoor area for eating, there is also an undercover terrace, but that is also given over for smokers. So non smokers are restricted to eating in main restsurant. Hotel in great location and would stay again.

Access tricky but hotel & restaurant were quality
During Christmas market, the front of the hotel is blocked by stalls. Parking area is difficult to find and very tight. Staff & restaurant were very helpful & bathroom had a large tub.

That don’t like wheelchairs
I booked the hotel prior to my partners cycle accident and although it was 6 weeks ago she had to get around in a wheelchair.I had to drag the wheelchair up about 12 steps ( and down ) without any offer of help from the staff... they just stood and watched, for such a large hotel there was only 1 small lift , and it was a struggle to get the wheelchair in, the room though large was ill lit and dark.... I would never go back

Beautiful Rhine View!
The location is great! Our room had a small balcony and overlooked the Rhine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was also excellent! It was hot while we were there and there is no A/C. We had a fan and opened windows but the trains came by the hotel very often and were loud! Wifi was good.

Right off the Rhein River spacious room and bathroom. The only thing that might be an issue for some but wasn't for us was the train. We would stay there again, everyone was very nice and the breakfast was great.

Great Hotel, Great Location
Went to Rudesheim for 4 nights for the Christmas Market. This was a great base as the easy train connections from the airport and also to other towns like Wiesbaden were convenient. Hotel is only a few hundred yard walk to the train station. The hotel is right on the river. We also did a day cruise on one of the KD boats down the river (north) to see all the magnificent castles. Doing this is HIGHLY recommended and very inexpensive. The KD boats dock right across the street from the hotel!! The hotel location was right within the Christmas Market so the festiveness was fantastic. A slight bit of noise from the passing trains but in Europe the trains are very quiet compared to the USA! Rudesheim has the most quaintest Christmas Market and many GREAT restaurants were all within walking distance. Be sure also to take the gondola up through the vineyards. Great views of the Rhine River valley.

Location is not always all.
The hotel looked good at a first glance and the staff was nice. Then we got a room facing the river, which sounds great until you realise that there is VERY heavy train traffic just across the street. Also, there was no AC, which made it almost impossible to sleep with the windows closed. Last but not least, there are many spiders. We found 5 in our room over one and a half days. I know they are not dangerous, but I don't like to think my room might be full of them.

Great location. Nice Hotel.
We should have had a Superior Room, but we felt the room they gave us was too small to be classed as Superior, but the next day we looked at a better room, and they moved our luggage for us during the morning, to this better room. So we had one night in the smaller room and then 3 nights in the bigger and better room. The Hotel facilities and staff were excellent. And the reaction to our complaint was very good.

Location was really great! Christmas market and everything was at our feet. Room was good enough, and we were given a nice water view in the front. We did not experience any of the loud noises coming from the trains that people are talking about. We did not hear the trains, it was fine. The TV however was not working properly, the picture was terrible and staticky. There was minimal heat and we called to address this, and what they did was brought us extra blankets instead of really fixing the problem. The receptionist told us the next Rhine River boat tour was at 3pm so we went to the dock with our toddler and waited and waited, in the cold, and the boat never came. When we returned to the hotel to tell her there was no boat and that we froze for nothing, she said "oh, i guess it was too cold today and they decided not to go out".. Shouldn't she have at least said 'i'm sorry'?! Or maybe even offered us a hot coffee to warm up since she screwed up? We had dinner in their restaurant one night and all the 3 entrees we ordered were really bad i'm sorry to say. Upon checking out 1 of the male employees was nice enough to escort our car out to a main road so hat we could get to our next destination. So there were pluses and minuses as you see.

We stayed four nights at this hotel in order to visit the Christmas Market in Rudesheim and other markets close by. We had a nice but small room on the fourth floor (hotel has an elevator) overlooking the Rhine river. the view was beautiful! When you walk out the front door of the hotel you are in the middle of the Christmas Market.The hotel is within a couple of blocks from all the main attractions and restaurants. The KD River Boat line docks in front of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room was very lovely, clean and comfortable. I loved the location, boats and train in front of the hotel was picturesque. Only negative was the internet, which you had to pay for but we could never get on. I needed to make train reservations and ended up walking down the next morning since I never got on to the internet. Since no train reservation, didn't have a seat on the train. Internet is essential for certain things and it should be available ESPECIALLY if you paid for it.

If you find noise an issue this hotel is not for you, right on the railway, and it feels like the trains are in the room with you. There was no air conditioning, fortunately it wasn't too hot, but this could be an issue. The room itself was a good size, and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was quite good.

Beautiful but noisy!
We travelled here for the last 2 nights of our German holiday. The town of Rudesheim is just beautiful. The Rhine is your view from the main road and from the front of the hotel. The only downside is the trainline that runs alongside the river. This isn't just a little people trainline. This has massive tankers, car transporters and carriages carrying lorries on it. If you can get past the 24/7 noise of this and get a room at the back then do so! The hotel itself is quaint and quirky, not very insulated to sound but that doesn't bother everyone. The staff are friendly and speak good English. Wifi has to be paid for and there didn't seem to be any hotspots around the town but that's only a bother for teens. This town is gorgeous, the weather is lovely in summer and there's a lido pool down the road that's just 4 euros each. Overall - nice hotel but train noise is constant. Such a shame

Room on the 4th floor for 3 adults was great (hotel has an updated elevator) Food in the restaurant was excellent; German breakfast (6.00 EU extra) was outstanding! Staff was very helpful and personable. Hotel located across the street for Rhein River Cruise docks; convenient to shopping and museums. Parking was tight but valet service was available. Truly enjoyed our two says here ^.^
