Great room was upgraded to kingsize dulux room. Was nice and clean very spacious, beds were comfortable. Only complaint was geting in at night the door is lockd and you have to ring a bell to enter the hotel, We ended up standing outside for around 10 mins waiting for someone to answer, would be far easier if ur hotel room card could be used on frount door aswell.

"Reliable four star hotel, ten minutes from centre."
Not a building of beauty but inside everything is well organised and generally impressive. Excellent dining/ bar area and bedrooms good size. Our room was a bit noisy as traffic and the tram line close by start quite early. Plenty of public transport at hand and an undemanding walk to the town centre is perfectly realistic. Front desk staff excellent.

"Winter break in Dublin"
Hotel conveniently situated near the main street and the city centre. Excellent transport facilities and the 'leap card' provided very good value, allowing us to travel on buses, trams and the local trains, enabling us to visit Howth to the north east of the city and Bray to the south east. Wide choice of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The Guinness Storehouse Experience is a must (whether you like Guinness or not!).

"Overall nice hotel"
I stayed at the Citywest for 2 nights in early January. I arrived and was informed I was upgraded which was nice. All of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was as you would expect, large double, average sized bathroom, table, chair, tea making facilities. The bed was comfortable and the room was tidy. The black out curtains were great. My only criticism; - the sink shelf in the bathroom was too small, you had nowhere to actually put your toiletries - there was no water in the room which I would have thought was standard in all hotels especially an expensive one like this. Other than that, really nice feel to the place and would stay again.

"Close to everything"
The hotel is a great location for what we were looking for, bars, restaurants, local sites and well priced. Entertainment in bar which was good as we were meeting friends so it worked well. Corridors and bedrooms are tired and a small amount spent on painting them would go a long way to lifting the hotel. Breakfast not included in rate but we knew this and it was not an issue, we did purchase breakfast at €10pp and it was good. Dined out most nights as great selection of restaurants in the area but service was really bad in these but this had nothing to do with the hotel. Staff very good and friendly but we tipped well so we got excellent service. Overall I would go back, it is basic but suited our needs.
