The Blooms is in a terrific location - Temple Bar - but you have to accept that the are is noisy. And not just on the weekend. I use a white noise machine to mask outside noise, but still had to close the windows every night because of the noise from the BACK side of the hotel (furthest away from the bars!) The drunker people got, the louder they got and people literally screaming at 2am was a nightly occurrence. Overall, the hotel is nice - and the staff was wonderful - but the bed left much to be desired. It was hard - very hard and quite uncomfortable - and since you get a hotel primarily for sleep, it has to weigh heavily in my review. I ended up doubling up the comforter and sleeping on it with just a small, light blanket over me. The other issue was the TV and WiFi - which are connected issues. For the first several nights, all I could get on my TV was Netflix and YouTube. No Irish TV at all. Fine - except that the internet connection (both for my phone and for the TV) was spotty at best and kept pausing or cutting out entirely. Not a huge issue but it would have been nice to watch a little TV at the end of the day. Okay - so that's the negative. The room was plenty big and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The elevators were large enough for several people with luggage and they ran perfectly. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel. Overall, Blooms was nice - but they need to replace those beds.

Check in took 30 minutes and the group ahead of me, there rooms weren’t ready. Only one lady was at the check in counter. The bar there was closed down. My room had a noisy machine outside that left me not able to open the window at night.

Hotel bar staff was very disappointing. When a paying customer doesn’t get a drink past 11 pm on a Saturday night then it’s a sign of bad times. Everyone was asked to leave before any last orders were called.

Excellent location, good price, clean room. A bit of noise can be heard from the street but very, very mild. My only complaint is after 12 hours of flying we arrived at noon and requested an early check-in (check in is at 3). The front desk stated there were no rooms available at the moment and to come back at 2pm. No problem, I totally understood. I came back at 2:15 and was told to come back at 3. Rooms were ready but she wasn't checking anyone in until 3. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying especially when she waited until three on the dot to start checking everyone who is waiting in. Overall good stay and would return to this hotel.

We found that bed was wet with urine when we arrived at the hotel. Clearly someone has soiled it and the houskeepers had changed the sheets but not replaced the mattress. We compained and were moved immediatly.

Authentic Irish hotel, perfect Temple Bar location
Nice, welcoming, reasonably priced hotel in the heart of the Temple Bar neighborhood. We only had one afternoon/evening to enjoy a whirlwind visit to Dublin in between flights. Blooms was the perfect starting point for a quick walking tour past the Castle, Cathedral, Trinity College, statues, rivers, parks, etc; as well as bars and restaurants afterwards.

British Airways cancelled my flights to Ireland and completely ruined my 4 planned days in Belfast and Dublin. Every service EXCEPT Blooms Hotel refunded my payment: flights, theatre tickets, train tickets and Belfast Hotel. Blooms Hotel refuses to refund me for the 2 nights I could not be in Ireland, let alone Dublin. This is NOT my fault and Blooms hotel does not care.

Charged us extra $40 a night because we had 3 people even though I booked a triple room. The employees were not nice to us at all. Asked for help getting a taxi and they let the taxi leave without us. Horrible experience.

Loved the colorful facade! Staff were uniformly friendly and pleasant. The desk clerk who checked us in at 11am gave us early room access without our having to ask. Breakfast was great. All around excellent place to stay after an overnight flight. Area is noisy, but it didn't affect our ability to sleep.

The hotel is in a great location, but the area is also quite noisy. We didn't try any of the food at the hotel. The radiator in our room was broken, so we were incredibly hot the whole time and nobody came to fix it.

We chose this hotel because of the pub and nightclub located there. Imagine our disappointment to find it closed the whole time due to “staffing” shortage. The hotel itself was nice. Walking distance to everything. They should have mentioned that it did not offer what it advertised. Ie: pub etc

Great place to stay in Temple Bar. Quick walk to everything in the area. The area around the hotel is noisy during night time hours, but I completely expected that due to staying in the Temple Bar area. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I was able to check in right away when I arrived to the hotel.

The location is great and the staff was very, very kind but...gross. My entire room smelled like the sawdust janitors use to clean up puke. Opened the window so I could beathe and had to listen to seagulls and bars dumping their bottles all night. Window and shower curtains were dingy and frayed. Carpet so dirty I put my shoes on every time I got off the bed. The most uncomfortable bed I've slept on in years. Maybe it was just my room but this place was beyond bad.

The shower although hot was only a trickle and very difficult to get washed in. The bar facilities vert dissapointing, it clised at 7pm on the sunday we arrived and remained closed for the duration of our stay. Reception said that it only opened Thursday Friday Saturday and sunday

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!
We booked this hotel for a 2 day trip to Dublin and our visit was absolutely ruined by it! The room was dirty, there was mould in the bathroom, the curtains had suspicious stains all over them, the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable that I considered sleeping on the tiled floor instead, the tissue-thin curtains let in beaming light 24 hours a day (strong floodlights on the outside of the building at night and strong sunlight in daylight hours) and the room was hot as hell! The windows were so old and thin that they let in all the noise from the surrounding area (music and drunk people shouting at night, street cleaners and Garda sirens all through the night then delivery vehicles and people shouting in the morning. We slept very little because the room was so uncomfortable, this ruined our trip as we had no energy to do anything while in Dublin and has left us feeling completely worn out on our return home. I tried to take the issues up with the hotel manager, who tried telling me that Irish laws prohibit the use of blackout blinds in hotels - which is an absolute LIE! Stay clear of this hotel! I'm not a snob and for £60 a night I didn't expect the Hilton but this is absolutely vile! The attached photo was taken at 5:43am and you can see how bright the room was! The other photos are of the bathroom - you can see it has not been cleaned and is mouldy/filthy!

I took my father to Dublin last weekend (one of his bucket list trips!) and we stayed at the Blooms Hotel. If you are hesitant on staying here, please don’t be! It’s in the heart of the Temple Bar district, clean rooms, about 15-20 min away via taxi from the airport, and most importantly, the staff were incredibly helpful! I absentmindedly forgot we needed a negative Covid test to reenter the States, and the front desk staff helped us tremendously by finding a pharmacy that would assist us ASAP since there were no more appointments at the airport that fit our schedule. Literally, they went above and beyond to assist us and we are so very grateful.

Wouldnt stay anywhere else in Dublin.
Really nice hotel to stay. In perfect location to all of the tourist areas of Dublin. Rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. We wasnt due to check in until 3pm but when i explained the reason for our trip the ladies on reception were nothing but helpful and kind and got us a room that was ready to check in straight away and i am so greatful as it made our trip a little more easier so thankyou. We will definitely be using this hotel again.

Best location hotel
Got there very early and dropped my case off to go explore. Receptionist said she would ring me when room was ready which she did at 10am.!!!! (Check in usually 3pm) We were on 5th floor and did not hear any noise from clubs/street etc. Full Breakfast for €15 was great value and quality. One of the best central locations in Dublin. 280 meters or 3 minutes from airport bus drop off at Aston Quay. 35 minutes walk to A3 arean if you are going to a show. 3 minutes to Grafton st or Trinity College or Molly Malone statue. 1 min to Starbucks and Subway at top of street. Hop on Hop off bus stop practically opposite Starbucks The list is endless. Clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great place for a long weekend. Would definitely use again.
