Good but...

Posted 10-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Everything about the hotel from price to location and service and cleanliness was great. My problem with the hotel was the room I reserved and paid for was not the room I recieved. I paid for a non-smoking room and they had given my room away.

Room was nice.

Posted 30-Oct-2015
Pros: It was clean. Just smelled of heavy smoke.
Cons: NA
Room was nice but it was a smoking room. when I booked the room I thought it was a non-smoking room. When I looked at the booking information later, it didn't say it was non-smoking so my fault.

Bad experience

Posted 28-Oct-2015 on Hotels
We felt uncomfortable when we drove up and would not have stayed if we hadn't already paid for it. We were given a room at the end of the hallway by an outside door and were told it was rarely used. However there was a lot of use up to midnight with the door banging. Also the noise from the room above us kept us awake until at least 2am. We were also told that someone would be manning the desk all night and they were not there at 3am and could not be reached. We left at 3:45am

Pros: Very close to dining, and activities we were interested in.
Cons: Breakfast was nice, but the area was extremely small, with only two small tables. Coffee, hot chocolate & tea were available in the lobby too.
Our first room was the last available due to an In town event. We were not pleased with the bed. When we told the management the next morning they quickly reassigned us to a different room. Our second room was wonderful.

The hotel was noise and could not sleep. The breakfast left a lot to desire. Just barely room to sit a couple of people to eat breakfast.

Up & Coming

This hotel was ok. They were doing construction so I am sure it will improve soon. El Dorado is a college town that is up & coming.
