Positive: the hotel looked really nice inside---newly redecorated. Our room was very nice and clean--everything was new. We had breakfast at Penny's Diner next door which was a fun experience--very nostalgic and good food. Negative: we had an unpleasant experience when we checked in. The front desk gal was working on something on the computer and said "just a minute" without even looking at us. We stood there for 10 minutes while she was mumbling about something on the computer. My husband finally said it wasn't good business to leave us waiting there that long, and she proceeded to tell him she said "just a minute." The check out person on duty in the morning was much better. We had to assume maybe the evening gal just didn't know what she was doing.

not Good rude check out lady

Mouse glue trap in room check out lady was rude ask to pay cash she said I couldn’t and she said she couldn’t give me a receipt because I went through Expedia she was short and not very helpful plus I check pay cash at motel on the Expedia app and couldn’t

Everything was good. Was a bit confused at first to find the hotel was in 2 separate buildings across the street from one another. Also, the breakfast in the morning was at Penny's Diner which was alright. It was just a bit different than what I'm used to. Overall, it was a nice stay.

only hotel in town that was still open

Pros: It was close to my children's home. It was also close to everything else in town.
Cons: Hire some sober rent-a-cop to cruse the hotel and grounds on weekend evenings. I bet some local under- paid school teacher would be glad to get $100 a
Location: Not much for wild and crazy people. But high values family oriented folks would find enough to entertain them.
Because the Oak Tree Inn had no competitors, they were not trying very hard. They had no security at all and even though it was a small town, the contractor crews staying there, would bring their drinking parties back to the hotel from the bar and party next to our room. I didn't really mind that except they knew nobody was looking and if the rowdies got any drunker, they would be puking on my new pickup or sitting up on the hood etc. All the Inn had to do is have a weekend guy to cruse the parking lot a let everyone know they were watching. If the hotel continues to ignore the situation, there will be no hotels left in Wellington because some guest will sue them into bankruptcy.

Bad place

It was a very bad place, they put me in the old motel while their was a nrand new one open

Pros: Easy to find and clean.
Cons: Verify the rooms have actually been cleaned before assigning. We arrived 2 minutes to 2 pm (check-in time) and only one room was ready.
Location: We were there for a birthday party, so did not explore the surrounding area.
Hotel room was clean and spacious. Instead of the typical "hotel breakfast" received a voucher for a "real" breakfast at a diner next to the hotel. Very easy to use and and the food was good, hot and plentiful.

oak Tree Inn

There was black curly short hair in the shower and we are gray, Dresser drawer had crumbs in the top drawer & there was a mouse sticky trap by the door. I complained when we checked out and they said "we have a couple of maids that are going to be let go." NO I'm sorry or offer for a reduced rate.
