Not Worth the Money

Posted 09-Dec-2015
Pros: It served it's purpose, and that was a bed to sleep in so that we didn't have to drive 2 hours back home.
Location: We were only in town for the night. Close by great restaurants and shopping. Within 5 miles of Old Town.
The hotel is going thru renovations, which we were aware of, but I feel like they're charging prices now, for what they hope the hotel will eventually be like. The pictures online are hopeful of what it will look like as well. Deceiving. It is literally RIGHT next to the hotel next to it. The clientele of the hotel next door were a little sketchy. I did not feel comfortable leaving my car in the back parking lot when the front lot was full.

There was a dirty sock in the corner of the room by the air conditioner. That being overlooked by housekeeping made me wonder what else was not cleaned in between guests. I would have taken it to the front desk but we were in a hurry to get to basketball games and did not have time to deal with it. The lights in the pool did not work so we had several children swimming in a dark swimming pool. The children also said the pool water was freezing. There were also no towels available in the pool area.

The main reason we chose this hotel, was a failure

Posted 30-Nov-2015
Pros: Room was fine... no complaints.
Cons: Fix the heater in the pool room.
We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. We stayed for three nights, and the pool was not swimmable (heater trouble.) The staff was particularly unresponsive. Not that I expected them to do magic... but the lack of concern was palpable.

Good stay minus spa

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Choose the hotel based on location and pool/spa. We did not get to use the spa due to what the front desk explained as a leak. We waited 30 minutes soaking wet and freezing from the pool and had to go back to front desk to find this out. No one bothered to come tell us what was going on after we asked if they could unlock it. Was not happy!

The hotel lost the wifi connection while I was there. The staff was extremely helpful but I was forced to use my cell service as a hotspot. This could be a fantastic hotel with a few updates. There was a great area on the sixth floor that was not being used with a bar and outside patio. The staff was never at the front desk. It was an ok deal for the money and I would stay there again even with all of the problems.

Never Again....

Posted 29-Sep-2015 on Hotels
This hotel has got to be La Quintas worst property I have ever visited. The positive...easy check in(probably because there wasn't anyone else checking in) The rooms are VERY run down. Beds sag. Bathrooms need remodel or at the very least, tile repair. Air conditioners are the old window kind and the smell lets you know the filters are the ones that came with the unit decades ago. Breakfast is the most basic of continental breakfasts. I had just stayed at a La Quinta in Oklahoma for the 2 days prior with an excellent experience, so I thought this might be similar. WRONG. They are NOT all the same that is for sure. They charge as much as the new Holiday Inn down the street. I didn't realize until we got there that for the same price we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. Unfortunately, I was being loyal to a chain name. Never again.

Great pool!

Posted 13-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Perfect for our needs. Pool was a great benefit for the children after a long, hot day on the road and equally so for the adults to relax later in the evening. Room was comfortable and clean.
