Hotel @ Old Town

Posted 13-May-2016
Pros: Classy hotel in an old warehouse type building with superior room features
Cons: Restaraunt, although there are many in walking distance.
Location: Close to freeway, downtown business and entertainment districts
Stayed there before on a regular basis, however this was my 1st visit since 2012 and I was not disappointed. It was better than I remembered. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Wichita for business or pleasure. Very clean, very comfortable, great amenities for the money

Great Hotel

Posted 24-Mar-2016
Pros: Location and the hotel itself
Cons: Not much
Location: See above
This is a great hotel and its in an old scissor factory that was totally renovated in 2009 -- Room is spacious and very well appointed. Located in the heart of OLD TOWN which has been totally renovated from old factories to restaurants, bars and antique shops -- Best place to stay in my opinion in Wichita Far better than staying out at the airport !!!!!

Consistently a good experience

Posted 12-Mar-2016
Pros: Unique design and décor. The rooms are very spacious and all have a full-size fridge, and kitchenette (if you feel like cooking).
Location: There are several unique restaurants and shops in the Old Town area, all within a few blocks. From a burger or tapas to an elegant dinner.
I've stayed at this hotel several times since 2004. I have never been disappointed with the staff, facilities, room, and amenities. It seems as fresh and clean as it did 12 years ago. I was only there for one night this trip and didn't get to enjoy breakfast. But my room was typically comfortable and I was able to get the rest I needed for my next business day.

Cons: privacy drapes
Only problem is the west side of building has transparent curtains on window with a 3-4 story business building 30 feet to the west. No way to close drapes for privacy.......especially at night.with the illumination of a street light shining thru.

Thank you for taking the time to review. I apologize your sleep was disrupted by the light. Please feel free to call down to the desk at any hour with any questions or concerns. The lace curtains are decorative curtains but you will find a plain white curtain behind that you can close when you are ready to block out the light.

Great hotel, great location, great staff

Posted 04-Feb-2016 on Hotels
Great hotel, great staff, nice room, bed was a little stiff but ok. The hotel is in a great location and offers ample, free, off-street parking. My ONLY complaint is the crazy, LOUD air handler that ran ALL NIGHT in my room.

Wonderful historic stay

Posted 28-Dec-2015
Although our stay was short, we very much enjoyed it. The room and service was exceptional. Learning the history of the building and collection displayed added to our enjoyment. We would highly recommend this hotel.
