Nice hotel for families.

Posted 26-Apr-2016
Pros: The room was clean, and the gaming area was clean and in good condition.
Cons: The pool could use a little TLC, and it would be nice if the breakfast was a little more restaurant quality and a little less continental breakfast.
Location: This hotel was close to Sam's, Wal-mart, a movie theatre, and several restaurants.
This was a nice hotel that my family; mother, husband, 12yr old daughter, 10yr old son stayed at for a family reunion. The kids had fun in the pool and game area. The pool needs to be resurfaced, the paint is very worn in some areas of the pool. The hot tub was good, could be a little bigger. The game area was large and well maintained. They could use some signs indicating that certain equipment for the games (the shuffle board and putt-putt supplies were at the front desk) The shuffle board, putt-putt, ping-pong, and swimming were free, but the rest of the games, i.e. pool tables, arcade games, and air hockey cost to play. All the games were in excellent condition, fun and not too pricey to play. The breakfast was really a standard continental breakfast even though it was served in a restaurant. The biscuits were pre-packaged, gravy was from a mix, the eggs were ok, sausage links were good, they had a good selection of milk, and cereal, they also had, yogurt, bagels, bread, muffins (very dry and bad) and juice. Overall this hotel was nice.

Hotel by the Cotillion.

Posted 21-Feb-2016
Pros: As above, the shuttle to the concert.
Cons: As above, the pool area.
Location: This serves the Eisenhower airport, but was not noisy with jet wash. Numerous restaurants nearby (Abuelo's!) We stayed here to go to the Cotillion.
I chose this place because of it's proximity to the Cotillion Ballroom. It has a shuttle van that took us there and (more important) took us back after an evening of whiskey and music. The drivers were great. This is a true convention-center type hotel, with central courtyard and large.meeting rooms.. Neat brass animal sculpture theme .Cleanliness was excellent. Room was nice, The free breakfast was generous and relaxed in their restaurant. The only negative to me was the pool and spa room. It was clean and functional - but drab. It sorely needs a repaint and some landscaping/potted plants/murals. The staff was very nice, and overall I would come back..

Should have been better.

Check in was easy. The room looked good. The pool & spa need some attention, tiles raising and pool was cold spa has an odor when jets were turned on.The second day the pool & spas were overflowing with kids and noise. A kid vomited in the spa and it had not yet been clean by 10am the next day. One bed needs new mattress roll to middle, the other bed was hard. Breakfast was to be from a menu yet because it was Saturday it was a buffet and it was only so so. It was close to eating places. The staff were mostly pleasant.
