"Excellent location for exploring the city, lovely room just a little dark with limited window. Plenty of car parking which is paid for using the RingGo app £15 per day though!
There is a happy hour in the bar, great value if you have cocktails.
Fabulous breakfast, for dinner there is lots of choice within walking distance."
"There are many good things about this hotel and I would stay here again.
My negatives were although the cooked options were good why does a four star establishment provide mostly tinned fruit at breakfast and yogurt in tubs. You used to be better than this.
I also went for a swim at 6.30pm on a Friday to find that two thirds of the pool was taken by classes. I found that there is a list available for club members but not hotel guests. I could also have been informed as I went to get changed but instead sat by the poolside for a wasted 30 minutes and could not use the facility for exercise. Not surprisingly I was less than happy.
This review is not to help travellers plan better but for staff to provide a better environment for those guests."
"We had one of the refurbished rooms which we were thankful for, they have half renovated the hotel so far. We were very grateful for the fan they’d put in the room as it was hot. The room itself was nice and there was plenty of room. The curtains however did not cover the windows which did make the room lighter at night."
"Typical Britannia Hotel as with them all seen better days but a trip back to a proper UK seaside holiday and was fun. If you want 4 star plus luxury this is not for you.
But I love the Seaside vibe with a great location for bars and restaurants."
