This was close to everything. The staff was very nice. This was not a 3 star or 3.8 star rated hotel. The room was 27C with the heat off. Even with the fan supplied and window open it would not cool down even though it was -6C outside.

This property fit our needs on our trip through Whitehorse, Yukon and back again. It is a no frills hotel with what appears to be a very nice laundry room. (didn't use it). The breakfast while extra was very good, as was the service. The locations appears to be a run-down area but we felt safe enough walked around the corner to the restaurant..

My check in was horrible. The reception clerk was preoccupied with her personal visitors and terse. When I confirmed that I required a pet friendly room, she lectured me about service animals vs pets. Totally unprofessional. When I pushed back she attempted to regroup and offer me a snack gift. The hotel is filthy and the pictures in the Expedia ad are not real!! STAY AWAY!!

We also need to charge a fee for the extra cleaning required for a pet occupied room.We never charge a fee for service dogs. But to accept a service dog, we need to see some form of certification or at least a leash marking of service animal. You were not able to present any of these thus the 30 charge.Please be advised that falsely claiming a service animal is a crime. Canadian Criminal Code 364 (1) states that Fraudulently obtaining food, beverage or accommodation at any place that is in the business of providing those things is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.We would like to extend our sincere apologies for any perception of unprofessionalism regarding your check-in experience. After a thorough review, it was determined that our reception clerk was assisting a laundromat patron at that particular moment. While we strive to provide prompt service to all guests, it is our policy to attend to individuals in a sequential manner to ensure each guest receives the appropriate attention.Please accept our assurances that our reception team undergoes comprehensive training to consistently deliver exceptional service. We deeply regret that your encounter did not align with the high standards we typically uphold.As for the cleanliness and the accuracy of our Expedia ad, we are committed to providing accurate representations of our facilities. All of our photos are taken within the last 6 months. Amazing experience. A very nice place for a family stay. My kids love the place, especially the duplex arrangement of the suit. Staff are friendly. You do not regret having a nice breakfast, selection of items are limited though.

The staff really cares about making sure you have a positive experience. I received free snacks when I checked in and the owner or manager (I'm not sure) was overseeing breakfast and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I wanted. Incredible service and very friendly. Next time I stay in Whitehorse, I will be coming back to this hotel.

The property was decent enough. But it said "kitchenette", but what we got was a questionable looking kitchen - im not sure you could call it a kitchenette. We asked for toilet paper but noone came to give it to us - so we had to buy some. It said main floor, but we were in the basement. No screens on thebwindow and no airconditioning in the basement. BUT the staff was friendly, and checkin/check out was very quick and easy. They also offered you a free snack when checking in. They're really trying.

Not a family I’d want to be a part of
Strange experience with staff but otherwise a normal Whitehorse motel. Checking in two hours early became a negotiation - pay the higher rate for the room that was ready plus “anything in cash”. I initially declined but threw a twenty just to get my luggage out of the truck and get on with my day. I make enough that I don’t really care but it is clearly a cash grab and one I have never experienced for early checkin at any motel or hotel and I stay in hotels 90 days a year. Old pepperoni styrofoam tray from the supermarket under the bed but ya no big deal, bed and bathroom were cleaned. I don’t complain unless there is grime or smells. We had two separate reservations for two nights and day staff couldn’t figure it out to avoid moving each day so night staff helped later. Following this being sorted I was summoned over for interrogation the next morning about why I had said the day staff were rude or incompetent when that didn’t happen. I was polite but I am not interested in engaging when staff when I don’t need anything. Tip: even if people do complain about your service you don’t question guests and ask them to justify it. Will be my first and last stay in this hotel, I have stayed in all other motels in whitehorse for work and will recommend anyone else look elsewhere, even if it is more expensive. This hotel must be used to dealing with reprobates and difficult people because the attitude is very paternalistic and condescending.

It's got the typical Yukon exterior, nothing fancy, but certainly not bad. So it could use a little more curb appeal. That not top on my list, but cleanliness and service is what I go for. They had an extra table in the room that made things tight, but the room was clean and the staff will go out of their way to make sure you have it right. To top it off, They have a fantastic breakfast. Hot and served right to you! If I pass this way again, I'll be making this one of my stops! Thanks Folks!

The place was not fancy, but it was a good quiet place to get some rest as we travelled the Alaska Highway. They fed us a HUGE breakfast the next morning complete with coffee an grapefruit juice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The property is "in transition" under new management. Was a permanent living apt for "fringe" folks before. Grounds were very dirty, we had a small service dog and walking her to do business was dicey due to trash and who knows what on the nearby grounds. There were no first floor rooms, but there was an elevator (dog didnt like it much but oh well); first floor was various businesses including a public laundrymat. The rooms were semi-ready, clean but no soap or other toiletries, TVs worked had to be "fixed" by staff as if they had not been set up yet. Lamps not plugged in etc. Water pressue was unstable. On the positive side the staff were WONDERFUL, the free cooked to order breakfast was very good, dining options near by were also good and cheap.
