Okay basically we stayed here over memorial Day weekend last year. They were supposed to totally start a renovation of eagle mountain House. Thus far I'm not seen anything different from last year. I have the feeling that the renovation deal may have fallen through. That being said it's a reasonably priced fairly large hotel. Bathroom is fine, excellent shower. The hotel itself will definitely needs renovations most certainly in the dining area the carpeting is quite severely stained. It would appear that several million dollars easily is needed to bring this place to what it once was.

Been going here for years. It’s a cozy, quiet, quaint, old fashion hotel. The old wood architecture makes it feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.

The Eagle Mountain House is lovely! We especially enjoyed the cozy and inviting lounge areas on the first floor. The hotel is stately, and the surroundings are serene. You can enter the extensive network of X-C ski trails from just outside the front door. We also enjoyed the Prime Rib Dinner special in the historic dining room. The staff were attentive and wonderful. Our only small complaint is that our room was rather small and over-priced. We opted for the modest sized room without the Mountain view, but we still paid $215 per night. And breakfast was not included.

This is a beautifully preserved older Inn. When you walk in, you feel like you've walked back in time. We enjoyed the town and relaxing in their lobby near he fireplace. They have two game rooms. Even though we stayed when the bar and restaurant were closed, we didn't have a problem finding other great local restaurants.

This is VERY unlike me to write a review however, it is very important for you to know that the condition of our room was unacceptable. Broken tiles on the bathroom floor that I almost tripped over, dirty carpet (stains and ground-in dirt/grime), very dusty. After observing the dust, I swept my hand across the top of the headboard - there was so much dust, dirt and grime that I wiped away. This is unacceptable. Also, we did not get the type of room that we requested. We wanted a rustic New England mountain getaway and I was crushed.

The hotel is gorgeous. We lived the historic feel. The views are incredible and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is even an old-fashioned elevator you can use. This property give you a glimpse into the past without being “old” and run-down. I definitely recommend a stay here.

This property is historic and beautiful. The location is very convenient to eating, hiking, shopping and nature. The staff was wonderful. The renovation plan looks amazing. Even on a rainy weekend it was a good trip.

Very pleasant historic hotel. Good service. Everyone we met was friendly and professional - really very nice. Golf course is pretty but in horrible condition. Dining room looks like a high school cafeteria - but the food was expectedly good / very good in fact. We had a good time and would stay again. Even our dog loved it
