Had a one night stay during cyclone
We were down in Whakatane for a wedding during a cyclone that hit the town quite bad, unfortunately the wedding was canceled due to the weather circumstances, etc no power, so we wandered back to the motel and having nothing to eat we were starving, my wife mentioned to the owner what had happened and she said she would fix up some sandwiches up for us, but her husband brought up to our room two plates of lasagna and salad, at no charge, excellent service under those circumstances.

Helpful and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was great, close to everything. They even hire bikes.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival and enjoyed the spacious and comfortable room and bed. Nice big bathroom. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Bland, over priced motel
One night of two in Whakatane. Definitely inferior to the previous night in Whakatane despite being more expensive. The room was clean but had that awful scented de-odouriser smell. The room had windows only one side and there was no through air flow. We found the faux italian architecture unimpressive. The room was noisy during the evening because of the pizzaria and bar opposite.

Good motel
First time stayer as usually stay up the road but thought I'd try the TV for a change. Can't put my finger on it but it just didn't spin my wheels fully. The staff are friendly enough, the breakfast pretty good and the room was a good size with a decent WiFi too, but...

Perfect Combo - Comfort & Location
Simple a "easy" place to stay - roomy, classy, and on fine evening Peter (co-owner) has wood fired outdoor oven to cook pizza with wine & beer choices. Walk everywhere and 5 minutes from the White Island Tour office.

Immaculate motel, spotless rooms & friendly staff.
I don't generally have high expectations of a 'motel for the night' but Tuscany Villas is just how well done the experience can be. A friendly welcome, spotlessly clean and presumably recently refurbished room and free wifi. Thoroughly recommended.

Greate place in town centre
We loved the place from the very first moment at check-in. Lovely owners, friendly staff. Spacious and very clean rooms. The Pizzeria on the premises ('Pavarotti') is highly recommended, best Italian style pizza we had in NZ.

Feb motel in the centre of town
Great hotel/motel in the centre of town. Easy walking distance to local shops, restaurants and tourist points. Room was well maintained, clean and tidy. Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom included spa pool/hot tub (just big enough for two people) and shower. King bed was two singles pushed together - not a big problem but would have been nice to have an actual king without the 'bump' in the middle. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Plenty of car parking space.

Great hotel. Close to all amenities.
Modern and up to date. Walking distance to everything. Lovely hosts. Only downside was that our ceiling fan was faulty and the aircon was somewhat inefficient which was tough because it was a hot night 😂

The over all stay was good and we were meet at the gate but it was another story inside the room where there wasn't any hot water and the tap to the spa fell off the wall.

Overnight stay for Work
Was recommended Tuscany Villas as the place to stay when visiting Whakatane for work. Great place to stay. Friendly helpful staff. The quality of the breakfast was a nice surprise. I'll definitely being staying at Tuscany Villas next time I am in Whakatane.

It may have Italian name, but it is not at all italian, there was only the photos on the wall, and the decorations in the carpark that were Italian. Very welcoming and the menu looked great, but arancini...... This is a motel, not a hotel. Air con unit noisy, TV small screen.

Good hotel, great location
Great location just at the end of the main street in town you can walk to a selection of hotels and restaurants within 5 minutes, proprietors Peter and Mel will give you all the information available about what's going on and places to see in the area, very genial hosts. I'll stay here again when I'm in the country.

We enjoyed our stay here. Second time I have been here, last time it had recently opened. Owners super friendly and helpful. Owner had a guest with an electric car turn up, and adapted his systems to become an electric car friendly power (filling) station. I thought this was helpful and inventive!

Quick stop over for a wedding..
Good sides - lovely place, staff where polite, friendly and the place was very clean and tidy and the king size bed was SO comfy had a great nights sleep! :) down sides... spa bath didn't work as couldn't get tap to go hot it just spun around (however staff where unaware of this and expressed would fix it asap) Tv reception was terrible.

The owners if this hotel are extremely welcoming, the rooms are decorated to a high standard and are very comfortable. Customer service is excellent and the location is very close to everything. Highly recommended.

Brilliant stay in Whakatane
Tuscany Villas is perfect for a stay in Whakatane. Very close to the main shopping area and restaurants. Peter and Melissa are brilliant hosts, very helpful. We had a small problem with our bed and they very quickly sorted it out for us. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Central position allowing good access to local attractions and restaurants, Rooms (Stayed in Studio) have all the basic's although have the spa so close to bed a bit odd

didn't get the room I thought. Should have had a soaking tub but we arrived late in the day and we were tired so couldn't be bothered! Dried my clothes cause we'd just come from funeral- $10 - really?? Booked cause it was close to town but it rained so we drove anyway. Should have gone to our usual hotel!

Unfriendly staff hotel look good
Place looked great as we turned up and could see into some rooms. Unfortunately. Unfriendly staff was not helpful at all they say they sent me an email first I was accepted next was they say sent email saying card declined I did not receive any email from them. Didn't even get a phone call. Card was accepted elsewhere
