Great stay!!
Really lovely stay! Very friendly and welcoming team. The room was spacious, clean and there were loads of USB charging sockets. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

We can not fault our stay at Avlon House, everything was top notch. The property is very well maintained and decorated beautifully. The host was very friendly and obliging. Lots of choice for breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. Loved our stay and would recommend.

Simply great.
Spotless with excellent facilities and lots of nice touches. From the gardens to the little clocks and all the paintings and antiques tastefully scattered around the house and grounds to the excellent cooking and helpful directions we could not fault the guest house. Excellent B&B
My family and I visited Carlow for the Arts Festival. We stayed with the Avlon for two nights and had an excellent time. The hotel is very clean and tastefully decorated. the rooms were large and well maintained. The owner was very helpful and the breakfast was more than excellent. There is a terrace at the back with BBQ facilities and a game room. I would gladly recommend this B&B to any traveller.

Overall a brilliant stay
Absolutely lovely house , so clean and everything you need , very discreet too . The breakfast served was lovely and again nothing too much trouble . The large rooms were great and extra size bed comfy x

This is a most delightful place to stay. The host is very hospitable. He was always prepared with suggestions to add to our day’s adventures. The Christmas decorations made it so warm and welcoming. The rooms are nicely furnished. It is very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Check out the Avlon first if staying in Carlow.
A warm, quiet, and pleasantly decorated room, plenty of hot water on tap in the attached private shower room, and a terrific breakfast made my stay very pleasant. Your room key also opens the front door so you can get back in if arriving back late at night. A downstairs sitting room is available for guests to get together and the staff are friendly. Next time I'm in Carlow, I'm not even going to check elsewhere. I'm going to book a room at the Avlon.

It was a great looking place that was just a short walk from a variety of great restaurants. We arrived later than we expected, but They were welcoming and got us situated in our room. Breakfast in the morning had a variety of fruits and pastries that started out a long day of driving for us well.

You will not find a bettor b & b for 50 miles. Rooms are spacious and well fitted out with good wi fi. Just over half a mile from carlow centre so you can work up a hunger walking in for your evening meal. Breakfast will keep you from being hungry for the rest of the day.

Tom is a warm and welcoming host who is very helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble. Rooms are clean and well kept. Breakfasts are tasty and there is plenty of it. Carlow itself is a 10 minute stroll away. Really pleasant stay.

Quite simply one of the best B&B's I've had the pleasure of staying at in Ireland. Clean, modern & comfortable. The full Irish breakfast was out of this world. Tom the owner is very helpful and was happy to advise about travel plans. Good WIFI, plenty of parking and only 10 minutes to the town center. Fantastic value for money

I attended a two day conference with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) in Carlow. Having traveled extensively and stayed in may B&B's I have to say this (Avlon House) was by far the most impressive; friendly and priced accommodation I have visited in many years. I highly recommended it, I will be booking again for the conference in 2019.

Clean place. Uncomfortable beds..
Nice looking clean place. The host was helpful with directions and sights to see. But the beds were not comfortable. The reason we were in Ireland was for wedding. In the morning we ate at the b&b, then about 20 min later, on our drive to Dublin, my husband had to pull over and vomit. I was also really nauseous. Overall I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5

Thank you for staying with us during your week long family trip to Ireland, Sorry the product you booked B&B was not the product you expected that being self catering access to Kitchen, Laundry ect , I did offer you option to check out day 2 and find more suitable accommodation to your needs with full refund you declined advising you were happy in a great clean B&B. Your comment on our Respa symphony deluxe semi orthopedic beds surprises me, while no bed will ever match your home bed these offer firm bedding without being hard, they tend to suit most people as a happy medium while traveling. I guess after 6 days of partying with family & a wedding many of us would be feeling nauseous & may even vomit. we strive to achieve perfection daily an impossible task I know, are we really a 50% house even after offering you the option to check out early with refund an option you refused advising we had a great home and you were 100% happy here.
