Loved having room for everyone along with essentially 3 private bathrooms plus an extra 1/2 bathroom. Dog friendly was perfect for allowing us to bring our two small Dachshunds with us for walks along the beach. Indoor parking with electric charging was a great bonus for our car and bikes. The salty sea breeze is not fun for vehicles. Would definitely stay again. I did hope the outdoor shower was working as our kids went to the beach every day. It's a lovely custom home that is in need of some minor maintenance work (shared privately with the rental agent). One issue we had was only 2 cars are permitted on the property, and we had 3\. We learned during our stay that a car can be parked at any hours in one of the pull-outs on the road leading to the house, notwithstanding the tow company signs in the neighborhood. Outdoor shower wand was especially nice for getting sand off the dog after beach visits. As others have noted, there's nice view of the ocean, part of it over the roof of a single-level house. But the upkeep is surprisingly lacking. There are multiple light bulbs out throughout the house. One of the bathrooms had no working bulbs over the sink, so we had to take one from a kitchen fixture to have at least some light over the sink. The washer & dryer are tiny for such a large house. Also, those who are bug-phobic should be aware that there quite a few small millipedes in the lower level. The house is beautiful, extremely clean (and we've done a few covid-timeframe rentals), furniture is in excellent condition, house is well stocked with kitchen supplies, bathroom towels, etc. Do bring extra paper towel and dish washer pods if needed. Front door lock is a little tricky but that is explained in the check-in directions. 2\. The house is very warm with the radiant heating. 3\. The grill does not work, the knobs are corroded and broken. 4\. The carpets were all very clean and I did not see the wear mentioned in the reviews. 5\. Three full bathrooms is a bonus and each room is lovely. 6\. The king tides recently washed away all immediate access to the beach out front so be prepared to drive 5 minutes to the park for beach access until that is repaired. 7\. We watched the waves crash on the beach all day long. The space is large, with decent bedrooms. It was also very clean. We had five lights out in the kitchen/dining area and Marissa responded quickly, although no local source of bulbs could be found. The house can use some maintenance and definitely needs more silverware. But it’s a lovely home in a beautiful location. It was stormy during our stay, which we actually loved, but I’d like to return in warmer weather and spend time sitting on the deck watching the waves. Westport is small with not much to do but also full of history which can be explored 'downtown'.
