Buffet breakfast was excellent. Although other users report lack of local restaurants, we found a good pizzeria just round the corner. €12 taxi ride from airport is good and the #19 bus runs intio city centre approx every 10 mins. many staff speak English and were very helpful.
It's good that I speak some Italian because Signora Accorsi who runs this B&B, doesn't speak English at all. She was very nice, welcoming and helpful. She did her best to make our stay nice and comfortable. The room was OK, the furniture was a bit old and there was no air-conditioning (we knew about it though!), but other that this, it was comfortable. There are two bathrooms at the each end of the corridor, and it can be quite loud whenever somebody goes to the bathroom, especially at night. It's just the house acoustics, because the location itself is very quiet. The breakfast was tasty and served at whichever hour we asked for. This place was much more expensive that similar places in Genoa or Florence and had less facilities, but maybe it's just different prices in Bologna, because it was the cheapest of other Bologna options.

This rating is a great mark for a reasonably priced accommodation and very helpful and friendly staff.
We were looking for a reasonable price, with everything included. What we found is a slightly older place that was close to the airport although kind of in the middle of a field.
If you're looking for a 3-4 star hotel this probably isn't your hotel, but if you want good value, great service and a
We spent one week in this apartment. Unlike others where we have stayed, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking basics: EV olive oil, balsamic vinegar, spices etc. This meant we did not have to spend money for items when we only needed a tiny bit. There was a supermarket, a superstore (sort of like a Walmart) and a bus stop close by. There was a nice pizzeria (where a take out panini was only 6 euro and fed both of us for lunch) & a wonderful place called Trattoria Vita near the bus stop (where for 65 euro we had a full meal (1st and 2nd plates dessert and wine). What may be a problem for people without a car is that the Piazza Maggiore is over 4 km away. We walked most of the time, but did have a 10 ride bus card that we occasionally used. It is even further from the train station, although bus #91 takes you right to the train station.
Sergio picked us up at the train station when we arrived. He gave us an excellent orientation to the apartment, the neighborhood; he pointed out the bus stop & the pizzeria, showed us where to get the bus card. He was a wealth of information. We were among the locals, which is we like to travel. If you're looking for a western hotel with lots of english speakers - it may not be the place for you.
We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. We had a standard room and it was clean and comfortable and we found the hotel staff friendly and obliging. Breakfast was good with different types of coffees made for you on request. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the city centre, there's small shops, bars and restaurants on the way and most of it is under cover in the porticoes. There's also a bus every 10 mins for 1.50 euros. The train station was 30 min walk and on a busy Monday morning when we got the bus one day it probably took almost as long! Everywhere is flat so if you're happy walking it's not a problem. I'd stay here again as we thought it was fantastic value for money.

The historic city of Bologna in Emilia Romagna is lively and whimsical, and its western part boasts some of the historic center with its famous porticos as well as the central train station. Just 15 minutes southwest of the main city is the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, a famous basilica church on a forested hill. Northwest of Bologna is the ancient city of Modena.
